Re: Out Today: Skate Makes Its Big Return in Early Access on PS5, PS4, and It's Free to Play

Not to be a negative Nancy, but this is cheap, sewage runoff trash. The controls are somehow horrible, it’s always online so you get the pleasure of other skaters jutting and glitching around you at all times. I just completed one mission and now it says more missions will be added in the future. But it’s all good because there is an obligatory, predatory microtransaction fuelled shop that offers clothing, rotationally, for real money.
God damn I hate 2025. Just offer us a full price quality product like they did three times 20 years ago.
Here’s to hoping we get an actual game in 2040.

Perfect game. Perfect ending. Realistic characters being flawed. No heroes or villains and posed questions at our own morals and sanity as a population in the real world. The gameplay is so original feeling too. Not just generic third person action. Gritty, desperate and visceral.
I’ll keep playing this game, and the first, back to back every other year for a long long time.
It’s wild to me how many people hate media that isn’t simple good vs bad and not tied up with a neat happy bow at the end. That’s life.

Re: DOOM: The Dark Ages Guide: 100% Collectibles Walkthrough

I bought the game digitally and I must say after the first level I was a little disappointed. The omission of glory kills hit me first, I get why they were annoying in the fast paced Eternal (I personally love them every single time) but with this games way slower pace I feel they would be more welcome than ever as it’s way more methodical. Would fit the pace more.
Buuuut, after the next level I got into the swing of it more and it really is just Doom being great as per. If you don’t go in expecting Eternal there is still loads of fun to be had, just a very different feel. Can’t wait to play more and get stuck in. I personally thought the big mech section was fun too!

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Thoughts on the Concord PS5, PC Beta?

It plays great. It looks great. I personally like the character designs even if they are a bit safe and derivative. I'm very tempted to pick it up and support the game, but alas, it is doubtlessly destined to fail. Between the angry virginal anti-woke brigade that will attempt to boycott and the plethora of other games people are diehard fans of, this probably won't move the needle enough to change many minds.
But, I have played the beta for an hour or two and can honestly say I really really enjoy it.
I loathe and morally reject the free to play business model, and the price point for this is bang on. The quality of a game you pay for initially will always be higher than free to play, and this game proves it.
Here's to hoping it does well.
