@Shinnok789 totally agree, something the industry lost years ago. Except Nintendo, gaming has got to serious & boring, also endless openworld, soulslike, roguelite ***** is getting beyond a joke now.

No disc drive lol, Sony really have lost the plot !! So that means more money for the external drive.

@Flaming_Kaiser Uncharted a walking sim lol, that just proves how diluded the openworld obsessives are. I love linear single player experiences where you can have amazing set piece levels. Like the train from Uncharted 2, that game is epic from start to finish.

@nitram2k11 it looks great, i have a VR2, but I don't think this game or the other announcements will save it. Let's wait & see I guess.

And yet another remaster of game that looks fine the way it is really. Christ its only a last gen game. Why not invest the money in a new game altogether. Love to know who green lights these ideas at Sony!!

@rusty82 yes definitely, Deadspace needs a new game. Yes I agree Lords of shadow is great another one I have on PS3. 2nd one was pretty crap it had its moments but not great. Unfortunately in this ***** show industry its doubtful we will see games like this again. Its all soulslike dross.

@rusty82 totally agree 💯 looked like Uncharted in the Star Wars universe. The PS3/360 era had the best single player experience games in that genre really. Another gem which I love & still hope for a sequel, is Dantes inferno. Such an epic game.

Yes another Star Wars 1313 unfortunately, 1313 looked incredible.

OpenBOR yes I have plenty on my retrogaming mini pc. The Splatterhouse ones are great as well.

@Flaming_Kaiser yes I know surely porting over Astrobot rescue mission wouldn't break the bank.

@gollumb82 yes I have an Sd build for steam deck full of retro stuff. But steam as a whole, has some brilliant shmups & run n gunners that don't make it to consoles unfortunately. Which is weird really, considering that's what console gaming used to be all about.

@RainbowGazelle Astrobot definitely the best thing they have produced in years & for PS5. Also I was one of the fools who bought VR2, to be kicked in the nuts with no Astrobot VR. Shows how much faith they have in the platform!!

@gollumb82 yes I play my steam deck more nowadays. Because it has plenty of retro style games which I love.

They say that, but with more AAA single player experiences they would be even more successful. The likes of Uncharted, The God of wars, Killzones. Is what made the brand stand out in the first place.

@Ralizah each to there own I guess, personally I don't like openworld, soulslike games. Even though I get smashed for it on most forums. It works both ways. I like "Linear" games unfortunately I dirty word in today's industry.

Just proves ***** sells, only game in that list any good is luigi's mansion HD.

@Almost_Ghostly very much doubt it.with the scalpers out there. Sony really need to produce more of these things to stop this from happening.

Proper PS3 shooter, sounds promising. Did make me laugh where PS5 pro had to be mentioned though. I'm sure the base PS5 is more than capable.

Yeah great news, but PS5 should be the priority. Being as the headset is designed for PS5. Obviously Sony forgot about that small detail lol 😆

@PuppetMaster yes I know, shumps are my favourite genre. But I'm not keen on power up systems like this. I'm old school, not saying I won't give it a go at some point.

Um not sure about this one, the weapon system sounds off. What happened to good old pick ups that increase your fire power or new exciting weapons, as you go. May pick it up, will check out some more reviews. But with regards to game length, quality shmups don't last hugely long its all quality & replay value.

Certainly looks stunning, hope it gets a physical release.

@__jamiie yep let's just say i won't be buying anything VR again from Sony!! Mugs like me spent £530 on this thing & that's the thanks you get.

And another reason to see Sony have zero interest in supporting there own headset.

@WaveBoy that's the most frustrating part, the Hugh potential this thing has. And yes ocean descent was/is incredible. Wish that would of been made into a full game of some sort. For me personally it could of been some stunning rail shooter.

@JP80 yes I made the same mistake, its just the Sony fanboys that are in denial. And can't face up to it being a failure.

I made the mistake of buying VR2 at launch. Brilliant hardware let down by Sony!! Astrobot on VR1 is amazing. When it was announced the new game will be PS5 only. That for me was the end of VR2. I don't care what anyone else thinks. Yes there are some gems out there & a few possibly coming. But it won't make a difference now. The price cut Says it all, off load stock soon as possible. Let's just say I won't be buying VR again especially from Sony!!

Shame they didn't give us Astrobot on VR2 & this controller.

@WaveBoy I get what your saying, but for me considering the age of VR2. A revision isn't the problem, it's like you said the killer games are the issue. It seems bizarre how a company can invest in producing a piece of tech, which must of cost millions. To basically not giving a toss about it in the most important area GAMES!!

@PuppetMaster @WaveBoy I get what your saying, but unless you invest and take risks. New hardware will never prevale. That's like saying we won't invest in PS6, what if it fails. VR2 is an incredible piece of kit, so much potential as a new medium Sony & devs should be striving to push this, not abandon it out the gate.

@WaveBoy couldn't agree more mate, unfortunately i think VR2 is finished. Sony has proved this with not bringing Astrobot to VR2, obviously they don't want to invest in there own tech. The demo shown looks stunning, imagine that scene where the water parts in VR. Its damn frustrating we won't experience it.

@DarianStarfrog even more reasons to make amazing games like this in VR then. It might drive sales of the headset. At the end of the day that's what sells hardware, I assume you have PS5, if the games were ***** you wouldn't buy the thing.

Looks amazing, but should of been on VR2 if you've played Rescue mission on VR1 you'll get it. If you haven't you won't.

@RoomWithaMoose I agree with most of what you said. But I love games like Gears & Uncharted. We need more games like that but with the gorgeous art style of souls, that would suit me. This is the problem with the industry. Dev costs has stifled creativity, so its just endless cut & paste to play it safe.

The polls speak for themselves, the industry is drowning in this *****. Fair enough some may love em, that's ok. But this trend has to stop, personally I love the original God of War games. I would like something that looks like souls but plays more old school, is that really to much to ask

From the votes obviously people agree, what ***** this is. But Sony choose to throw money at crap like this instead of developing great AAA single player experiences or more to the point VR2 quality content. After mugs like me spent over 500 quid on the thing. Sony need to get with the programme & seriously think about what made them great in the first place.
