@TheGamerKing it would definitely be a blow but not done for. I think you have a little too much faith in how these games stand up against some of the exclusive PS games that have been very popular this gen.
I am team blue and admittedly I do love the elder scrolls series. However, for me this doesn't change anything. Its a blow to the gut certainly but I am not willing to trade up the other IP's I have enjoyed on PS for any Bethesda game. Now if MS took on Square Enix and some of the Konami IP exclusively I would embrace any Xbox fan as brother
@Trajan I hope they don't buy anyone. I am Playststion through and through (not toxic fanboy level mind you). But what both Sony and MS are doing with these major studios is just hurting players now and its boring. I get having some timed exclusivity with 1st party games but this game of one-upmanship at the minute is just a joke. Although I wish one of them would buy the IP's from Konami they have no good steer on games like Metal Gear and Castlevania and someone needs to take them off their hands!
@RBMango it wouldn't make sense in the short term because they need to justify spending the money and Sony so far has the numbers. I would expect timed exclusives or maybe special editions for IP's such as Elder Scrolls.
I'm going for PS5 and this wouldn't change my mind but I would be lying if I said I wasn't gutted if they put Elder Scrolls on Xbox only. I love that series but it will just be something I can't play if its tied to xbox only.
I think Phil Spencers comment on case by case basis is to push people to Xbox preorders by keeping it up in the air. Otherwise he would outright say exclusive only.
@Aexurion thanks I will give that a try. If you could go ahead and at least pretend that you are happy about the next generation until I do that would be appreciated. That way I won't be able to misjudge your complaining.
@HMazzy111 I'm with you on this but I can understand why people would be annoyed at the same time. The obvious benefit has been scalpers having less time to prepare. I think we would see more listing on ebay if it was announced ahead of time. Let's see how XSX preorder goes. Hopefully they don't have the same issue we did.
@Aexurion stop crying. Nobody cares if you buy one on day one or not stop smearing. Things are expensive and they generally get more expensive as time goes on. Sony have made a faster console. If they were to increase the 825 the console would cost more and you'd still be crying. Considering all this crying you are doing maybe this hobby isn't for you. If the games are too expensive for you anyway I guess you won't be filling that SSD up anytime soon.
