I bought a bunch of V-Bucks back when Honkai: Star Rail characters were added to Fortnite, and they’ve been burning a hole in my virtual pocket ever since.
While there’s been a lot of great skins added lately, nothing’s really made me want to splash out – not even that awesome Spider-Man: Brand New Day costume that just came out.
Well there are rumours the next season of Epic’s unstoppable Battle Royale will be gaming themed, with characters like Pac-Man and Sonic the Hedgehog all joining the roster.
And leaks this week, based on Rocket League files believe it or not, suggest Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts could be joining Fortnite in the very near future.
Considering how closely aligned Disney and Epic are, it all makes sense to me. Moreover, Kingdom Hearts news is expected at bi-annual fan event D23 later this month.
I imagine we’ll get Sora, alongside the Kingdom Hearts versions of Goofy and Donald. I guess other skins could include Kairi, Roxas, Riku, et al.
You’re definitely going to be getting the Keyblade as a pickaxe and the Gummi Ship as a back bling, and look, the reality here is I’m going to want all these items.
I’m actually really interested to see how this rumoured gaming legends season shapes up; I haven’t really played much Fortnite this year, so it might be the gateway to get me back in.
