Filming is underway for Sony and PS Productions’ upcoming Resident Evil movie reboot, which will be directed by the acclaimed Zach Cregger.
Set photos from Prague give us our first glimpse of a snowy Raccoon City, with some fans claiming it reminds them of Code Veronica’s occasionally glacial backdrop.
Among the photos we see a map of the city which will be familiar to fans of the games, as well as various bombed out cars and abandoned store fronts.
Cregger, who’s a big fan of Resident Evil, has described this as an all-new original story which takes place within the wider world of the survival horror series. He insists fans of the franchise will not be disappointed.

The film itself is due out on 18th September, 2026, with Sony Pictures set to distribute it.
So far, we know Austin Abrams of Weapons fame will feature in the film, but we don’t yet know an enormous amount about his character Bryan, who’s said to be a medical courier.
