Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is currently the hottest topic in hardcore video game circles, with Hideo Kojima proving he can still put together a stunning trailer even all these decades later. As was the case with the first Death Stranding, music will play an essential part in immersing players in his post-apocalyptic vision for the future, as the game's official music video shows.

To the Wilder, by Woodkid, as French composer Yoann Lemoine is professionally known, follows in the tradition of Low Roar, the Icelandic band who's music is so essential to crafting the atmosphere of the original (R.I.P. frontman Ryan Karazija).

The song's lyrics are obviously open to interpretation, but its bridge, in particular, feels like a direct reference to Kojima's groundbreaking take on "walking simulator" gameplay, and we can't wait for this one to hit in-game, in its proper context.

"To all the mountains, all the rivers
To all the strays, the trailblazers
To what it takes to walk forever
To what it takes to be who we are
Who we are"
