Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown has just received a major update, taking the open world racer into Season 2.
The most significant addition is an all-new map to explore: Ibiza.
A returning location from TDU 2, you'll be able to enjoy a totally different vibe to the main game with a new city and its surroundings to cruise through. You'll need to reach level 12 before you can access the mission that leads to the new map.
The update also brings with it a suite of new cars to unlock, such as the Ferrari California, Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Xago Edition, Chevrolet Corvette C1, and more.
Some gameplay changes have also been made to improve the overall experience. Steering wheels can now rotate up to 1080 degrees, proximity voice chat has been implemented, and there's been a rebalancing of the AI and its difficulty levels.
The game is now also one of many that support PS5 Pro, providing a better resolution in both Performance and Quality mode.

I was waiting for this game for ages. I loved the first test drive unlimited back on the xbox 360. By the time the 2nd game dropped I had moved to the ps3 and didn't think much of it at all. Then this game launched and by all accounts it's utter garbage and releasing ibiza again even if it is free is not going to wow me into buying..even in a sale. Such a wasted opportunity so I guess I'm back over to the crew motorfest which is brilliant.
The game was utterly broken on launch, launching a season 2 when most of the issues still remain is madness
Initially I was really excited for this game but after reading the terrible reviews I decided to skip it altogether..
In the meantime I'm patiently waiting for the day when (or rather if) Microsoft decide to port Forza Horizon over.
@Northern_munkey The Crew Motorfest is a decent game but it's just not quite Forza Horizon ðŸ˜
@Member_the_game agreed its not but it's a decent arcade racer until forza gets to us.
Has there been talks of an offline mode? If not then still no interested :/
Seems to still be an utterly broken mess going by reddit. Not worth touching.
Insane. The game needed fixing, not more terrain there's no reason to drive on. My biggest disappointment this year.
I deeply regret that I missed my chance for steam refund.
Suppose it’s a good thing that Ibiza can advertise itself as an exotic driving location these days. Back in the 00’s the roads were death traps for many. That main road that went from Ibiza town into San Antonio was notoriously bad for tourists who went over for the parties
The game is a joke and looks like a PS3 game at best, it doesn't have anything compared to the best that was TDU1. I wouldn't even waste your money on it there's also rumors that the publisher is considering a sale of the TDSC dev ???
@Northern_munkey what I really loved about the first one was the social aspect - if you were on any of the main roads, there was always other racers close to you. If you want to the crater there would always be 15-20 other racers around. Its as if the servers were dynamic - you were constantly being moved to a server with people close to where you were vs. every game since that just sticks you on a server with other people, regardless of where they are in relation to you on the map. Even TDU2 failed at that.
If someone wants to make a game that can recreate that, I'd be interested.
@ZeroSum I used to play it daily on my xbox 360 with the same group of friends. We really liked the millionaires challenge which as you know was 1 lap of the island..great fun on motorbikes but it was also a great laugh using the Sunday driver cars that were very average..great times.
