As we reported earlier in the month, PlayStation is relocating its office in Liverpool. The company’s new 65,000-square-foot digs will bring it into the bosom of the city, after a stint at Wavertree Technology Park dating all the way back to the PS1. Sony’s Dave Parkinson shared some swish new photos of the campus on LinkedIn, and said: “It will be a fantastic place to create, collaborate, connect, and have fun.”

He added: “It's been a long, challenging yet rewarding journey since we decided to move from our current home of 27 years in 2018. It's been a real honour to have played a part in it and I can't wait for us to finally open the doors to the team!”

PlayStation’s Liverpool office currently plays host to its XDEV unit, which is responsible for overseeing first-party games developed by external teams, like Sackboy: A Big Adventure. The division has historically focused on European studios like Quantic Dream, but our understanding is that its remit has been expanded to developers around the world.
