Rainbow Six: Quarantine is now titled Rainbow Six: Extraction.
Today, Ubisoft Montréal has unveiled the new name for its upcoming co-op shooter. We've not seen the game since its announcement at E3 2019, and given all that's happened in the last 18 months or so, a name change seemed inevitable. Though some rumours suggested it'd be called Rainbow Six: Parasite, the team has settled on Extraction. To set the tone, we have the above new teaser trailer, unveiling the new name at the end. You can hear more about why the studio decided on that subtitle in this video.
We're going to get a fresh look at the game in Ubisoft Forward this weekend, one of the many events happening around E3 this year. Are you looking forward to seeing Rainbow Six: Extraction? Move out in the comments section below.

I just Hope it's not broken like siege at launch....
The alpha was awful.
I'm pretty excited about this game that being said it now is going to release with actuall competition is the form of back 4 blood . A game coming from a studio known for coop shooters . On top of that the rainbow 6 name could actually work against them buy scaring off some of the more casual audience who think the franchis is for the hard-core. I do hope the game is good mainly becuase I want something in the rainbow 6 universe that's more inline with Vegas so if this goes well they might actually start looking at that as a potential avenue.
Probably changed the name due to the pandemic lol. Don't want people having ptsd from playing a game called quarantine
yeah except that quarantine isn't a word exclusively used in connection with infectious diseases 🙄 not that I care, immortals fenyx rising was more of a stupid name change
I feel like quarantine was a better name honestly. I wish they had kept it.
Can't see what was wrong with quarantine.
Even corona didn't change the name of their beer.
Snowflake generation I suppose.
Both Quarantine and Parasite were waaaaaaaaaaay better than Extraction.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi While I agree they couldve done something better the immortals, unfortunately they had to legally change the name from Gods & Monsters.
@peppermillian it's been widely reported elsewhere but you continue making ***** up
@pharos_haven no they didn't, monster energy drinks threatened them with a ridiculous accusations that the name monster in the games title could have been confused with an energy drink, unfortunately ubisoft have no back bone and turned over despite the fact that it would have been thrown out of court 😂
@Dan_ozzzy189 i'm guessing that your obvious sarcasm was wasted here..i myself cracked a tooth in half and had to have it removed on thursday so EXTRACTION is a word that gives me the shudders..prefered quarantine myself...ahh the fond memories of lockdown (not the god awful r6 game)...
@Otherbarry yeah I’d love them to do another Rainbow Six Vegas game, but just wouldn’t trust Ubisoft to do it any service. We’d get another buggy open world RPG with microtransactions that has nothing to do with Rainbow Six, Tom Clancy & Vegas
