Ghost of Tsushima PS4

Blimey, Ghost of Tsushima has done rather well for itself, hasn't it? The new IP from InFAMOUS developer Sucker Punch Productions has now sold more than five million copies worldwide since its PlayStation 4 launch back in July. This puts it on track to compete with Horizon Zero Dawn, which topped 7.6 million sales in its first year on the market.

The news comes by way of a new interview with Sony bosses, conducted by The New York Times. Whilst discussing the success of the PS4 generation, it is stated that five million copies have been sold since launch. Writer Seth Schiesel then follows up on Twitter to clarify that the statistic comes straight from Sony itself. This provides context to the "commercial delight" that Ghost of Tsushima has been described as by Sony, since before today, all we knew was that the title had sold 2.4 million copies in its first three days on the market. Those sales figures have now more than doubled in the proceeding months.
