Sony has just announced a limited edition God of War PlayStation 4 Pro console via the PlayStation Blog. Launching alongside the game on 20th April, the bundle includes the game itself and a custom 1TB PS4 Pro, as well as a rather familiar-looking DualShock 4.
The console itself bears the design found on the blade of Kratos' axe, Leviathan. It's a neat idea, but it's not our favourite custom PS4, to say the least. The Nordic runes and letters are cool, however, apparently representing the in-game skill tree.
The bundle will be $399.99 in the US, making the game essentially free with the console.
Also confirmed are God of War's PS4 Pro enhancements, which consist of 2160p output and HDR.

Don't like it, but I'm not surprised. They've been making horrible custom consoles all gen, barring a few exceptions.
I was expecting something more like the design of the limited edition box.
I think is the color. Instead of silver, they should have used red.

Not a fan. Looks like cave drawings. It even made me think of Patapon for some reason. lol
I think its kinda cool looking. I wouldn't buy it though.
The controller isn't particularly spectacular, but I think the console is gorgeous.
Reminds me of my (dearly departed) Satin Silver PS2.
Minimum effort
I don't like the colour scheme and I think it would have been cool to have the axe head runes glow blue when turned on. The Silver is too light and the 'cut out' especially. The yellow accents don't help either.
The controller is as expected - based on the previous custom controllers. Looks very 'plain' with a couple of stickers. When you look at something like MS's 'Sea of Thieves' custom controller - whether you like the design/layout of it or not, the controller is far more thoughtfully designed and much more 'unique' - you can't take a standard controller for example and put a sticker or two on it to create the same design. It has laser etching, translucent shell and even a glow in the dark skull. Again not saying you have to like the design/colour scheme but must be able to appreciate how much more effort was put into its design and creation.
They really don't put any effort into these limited edition PS4. Think the nicest limited edition console was the 360 star wars one which I still have.

I actually think this looks gorgeous. I expected some generic red and white, but this is much more pretty and detailed than I anticipated
The ps4 itself is cool, the ds4 is just ok though. Man the graphics in this game is amazing
I actually really dig this. I like the two-tone grey + like green combo. The decals are only okay, but I'm sure they would grow on me and hold a bit more meaning after a playthrough. I currently have the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Pro, wish I could somehow directly trade it for this one lol. Either way I am pumped for this game, and surprisingly sooner than I expected too!
Maybe they will actually have a graphic designer design these one day....

Uninspiring and they havent been successful with a desirable custom PS4 yet.

@suikoden I really loved the Monster Hunter World one thats why i bought a Pro. It sucks i cant unpack it because we are fixing up the house dust everywhere.

Seriously Sony, and SSM (who designed this dumb thing), try harder. Not a single special edition console this gen had me even a little excited. Not that I'd be dumb enough to buy a Pro now anyway.
Also, it's pretty awful that Sony likes to put games up for digital pre-order so early, and then announce this kind of stuff so late. If you pre-order the digital copy already (like an idiot) you are stuck with it.
If this was a Sony PlayStation 3, would the controller be a DualShock 3 SixAXEis? XD

Love the design, not what I was expecting. Bought the GOW ps3 limited edition console way back when. Just a red console.
I've been holding off on buying a Pro specifically for this edition but I'm really not impressed with the design. I'm kind of hoping it will grow on me after playing the game but right now it just looks ugly. I hope it doesn't have a glossy finish.
I'm not a fan of the color scheme at all and the controller is boring. It's not enough to get me to upgrade and I'm still holding out hope for a KH3 limited edition console.
Oh my, that is one ugly Playstation.
