Way back at E3 2016, Sony announced that there'd be a PlayStation VR experience releasing for Final Fantasy XV. Some parts of the media even got to play it – unsurprisingly, the feedback was not positive – but we haven't seen sight nor sound of it since. So what the heck's going on? Has it been cancelled in favour of Moogle Chocobo Carnivals? No!
According to director Hajime Tabata – who was speaking with Famitsu magazine, as translated by Gematsu – the experience is "making progress" but it's still not ready for release. We'd advise the developer to just move on at this point, but knowing Square Enix it will continue to invest significant time and money into this project, before eventually deploying it long after anyone actually cares.

At least it's not as conceptual as Versus XIII.
Scrap it, move on.
Just ditch it - don't think anyone is counting on it. Much better to put the time, effort and money into the story-based DLC expansions.
If Nomura was still on the project I would have doubts, but Tabata-San gets things done. I think it will be part of the Prompto DLC
@b1ackjack_ps Plus games always release on the first Tuesday of a month, just happens that February 1st is a Wednesday.
Was a load of old cobblers to begin with, ditch it and move on and improve the game in other ways (hint 60fps patch )
What Final Fantasy XV VR thing?
I don't think anyone (or enough people) actually care about some VR mini game thats a part of a non VR title. I have a PSVR and love it, I have FFXV and love it, but I will not be playing some tacked on VR experience.
How about the 60FPS Pro patch? What's going on with that?!
I say this will be in the Prompto DLC thing as an extra ...
@b1ackjack_ps Yeah and they usually announce it a week before they come out, which they did.
For me it was worth it just to see Prompto wear it while giving a thumbs up.
