30. Immortals Fenyx Rising (PS5)
Developed primarily by the team that crafted the gigantic Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Immortals Fenyx Rising is an open world fantasy RPG with an emphasis on fluid combat and puzzle solving. You play as the customisable Fenyx — a hero tasked with ridding the realm of a corruption spread by Typhon — a key figure in Greek mythology. In fact, Immortals is heavily based on Greek myth, but the story's told through humorous character interactions and offbeat narration. As such, it can be a fun adventure for players of all ages.
29. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege (PS5)
Delivering a final verdict for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege is complicated. Purely on the title’s merits, it's a PS5 upgrade that is unquestionably an improvement and comes highly recommended. But on the other hand, even with all the new bells and whistles courtesy of the PS5, the title is a horrifying cesspool of cheating and toxicity of which very little has been done to stem the tide.
28. Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge - Enhanced Edition (PS5)
An upgraded version of a Meta Quest favourite, Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge enables you to live out your dream George Lucas power fantasy, in an original story inspired by a Disneyland ride with the same name. While the gameplay can get fiddly and repetitive, there’s no doubt that wielding your very own authentic Blaster is a mind-blowing moment, and this Expanded Edition comes with additional chapters which take you deep into Storm Trooper territory – and even assuming the role of an IG-88 assassin droid from the Empire Strikes Back.
27. The Forgotten City (PS5)
For fans of storytelling, The Forgotten City is a solid recommendation. Freed from the shackles of Skyrim, the full game tells a captivating story elevated by clever and humorous writing. With the interesting time loop mechanic creating further situations full of comedy and intrigue, settling down across a few evenings with The Forgotten City will delight. We just wish the combat was either improved or not there at all, and the technical setbacks weren't quite so rampant.
26. Dead Island 2 (PS5)
It took nearly 10 years to materialise, but against all odds, Dead Island 2 is a great zombie-slaying adventure. Set in Los Angeles, you work your way through various open levels as you fend off the undead with a wide variety of weapons and abilities. The story isn't anything too special, but the game makes up for it with gloriously gory action and a rounded, well-realised setting. If you just want to smash open some zombie skulls, look no further.
25. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (PS5)
Ubisoft proves with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown that it’s arguably at its best when it’s scaling down the size of its games and creating something outside of its open world wheelhouse. Metroidvanias may be ten a penny on PS5, but this well-executed adventure is bursting with exploration and equipped with some of the most satisfying side-scrolling combat you’ll find on Sony’s current-gen system.
24. Cult of the Lamb (PS5)
Cult of the Lamb is an ingenious blend of rogue-lite action and life sim that's devilishly addictive. Indebted to an imprisoned, malevolent god, you spend half the game vanquishing foes, gathering resources, and rescuing animals. Then, things flip, and your time turns to building up a cult with various buildings and structures. There's an element of strategy to this half of the game, but it's generally pretty breezy, while the action is nice and snappy. Both sides of Cult of the Lamb feed wonderfully into each other, and combined with the cute cartoon visuals, it's an incredibly fun, dangerously moreish treat.
23. DOOM Eternal (PS5)
If you like your first-person shooters fast, demanding, and bloody, DOOM Eternal is the peak. A fantastic gameplay loop means you're constantly on the move and playing aggressively, earning more ammo and health by getting right up in those demonic faces and literally ripping them a new one. On PS5, it's somehow even better, with three visual modes — including one with ray tracing — and DualSense support. A brilliant FPS that really sings on Sony's current hardware.
22. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name (PS5)
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name covers yet another chapter in Kazuma Kiryu's action-packed life. This is a 'shorter' experience that adds context to Yakuza: Like a Dragon by expanding upon the behind-the-scenes events of its main story. But unlike Ichiban's adventure, Gaiden goes back to full-on action combat in what almost feels like a celebration of Kiryu as a character. It doesn't quite have the scope of a mainline instalment, but Gaiden is still a fantastic and surprisingly emotional example of SEGA's long-running series.
21. Control: Ultimate Edition (PS5)
Control pushed the limits of the PS4, delivering an intense third-person romp — but a technically flawed one. This return trip to the unorthodox Old House feels much more at home on the PS5, however, and while there are some strange difficulty spikes, Remedy’s unique brand of shooting shines throughout much of this engrossing outing. The oppressive setting, unnerving enemies, and wonderfully eerie atmosphere really come to life on Sony's current-gen machine, offering much improved visuals and performance.

Quite painful to read the description of Forspoken in a “best of” list. Frankly, if such a list needs clutter to be filled, PS Plus is just not a very good service in my opinion.
Still hope the game is better than this though. I picked up a physical copy for € 6 but haven’t played it yet.
That shark game Maneater is a bit of a technical mess on PS5. I've never seen a game crash as much as that one and crashes are one thing but it also has a habit of wiping your saves. There are also quite a few reports of it turning peoples consoles off. It's also broken on Epic and on Xbox.
It’s no world beater, but something like Far Cry 6 ought to be on this list. Certainly ahead of Watch Dogs Legion.
@Quintumply - Since when has DMC5 been on Plus? The only DMC games I see are the streaming versions of HD Collection and DMC4 for PS3.

@Cvantez far cry 6!? Ew.. no none past 4, infact 3-4 is whete its at.. 6 is terrible..especially the writing
@Shigurui for ages, I've had it since joining last year
Returnal should higher on the list. It's my #1 game of the last 10 years
@DarianStarfrog - It doesn't appear in the UK/US catalogue and according to the article I linked it was removed in December 2023.
@Shigurui You're quite right, fixed. Apologies for the oversight!
A few of these are leaving the service in a couple weeks. I know Forspoken and the Star Wars game are.
