@ShieldHero Welcome! As others have said, the PS4 is a treasure trove of great games, so I hope you enjoy it.
I’m not an expert on JRPGs, and also not perfectly familiar with what’s already available on Nintendo platforms, but I know there’s a few JRPGs or anime styled games that are on PS4 and not Switch. Of course the first that comes to mind is Final Fantasy VII Remake, and I know it’s coming to Switch soon, but if you wanted a head start you can play it on your PS4 and it’s great. One of my favorite anime-type Japanese games is NieR Automata, which is on Switch, but it’s prequel remake NieR Replicant is not, I don’t think. I’ve not played it yet but it’s worth a look for you.
A few others that come to mind that aren’t on Nintendo: Metaphor: ReFantazio, Tales of Arise (and Berseria and Zestria for that matter), Granblue Fantasy: Relink.
Also, I would suggest checking out Gravity Rush and Gravity Rush 2 if you enjoy the whole anime Japanese storytelling vibe. Really solid PlayStation exclusives.
A lot of the PlayStation library has become Westernized and less Japanese and anime themed, but if you’re open to try them, the PS4 exclusives like the Uncharteds, God of Wars, Horizon Zero Dawns, and The Last of Us’s are fabulous games. Just not sure if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s a large and diverse library to navigate, so reach out if you have questions! 😄

My sincerest apologies to @Ralizah for making such a mess of their review topic. It was a genuine pleasure to work with them on maintaining that directory of users' contributions. There's no excuse for the damage I caused, and I deeply regret it.

@Werehog I may not have known you much or for that long (i'm awful with remembering users at the best of times as I mostly associate avatars which can change) but we interacted a bit, and I do know you are an absolute photomode demon, and people here have definitely missed you.
