Personally hoping Suarez and Uruguay are out by 7pm - and not just because I'm Italian. I support them as I'm from there but I consider myself Scouse and really don't have any side in my heart but Liverpool. So I want him out today for a nice long rest before coming back to a front four of Suarez, Sterling, Sturridge and Sanchez, or the SASASAS.

They would have wanted to avoid Brazil. Mexico is a much easier game. A cushion would have been nicer, Chile will be full of regret but Brazil haven't been great with the obvious exception.
I'm more scared of Mexico than brazil...
Keep the crowd quiet in the first ten minutes and don't let Neymar on the ball and you beat Brazil easily. Mexico is much harder for anyone than Brazil. I don't want them to go out - great for a tournament for the host nation to be in it as long as possible - but Chile will beat them this weekend. Against Holland I'd have fancied a draw and then penalties could do anything. Chile will win comfortably though.
Entire world falls asleep while watching England's game. ITV pundits say it's been great football and inspiring for the future. Bugger me. England are seriously, seriously screwed. This boring, begative, uninspiring, bland, generic football is their future. I actually feel bad for laughing at how awful they are, that's how low it's got.
"Oh smeg. What the smegging smegs he smegging done? He's smegging killed me."
"A group of individuals who all think they're better than they are" is the only slight difference I'd say. Must be hard for English though. As soon as someone gets to being quite good he's labelled world class. Look at Barkley, he's done so little yet he's already being labelled the great hope. It's pathetic the pressure our media put on people only to kick them when they fail to deliver. Oh, Jack Wilshire is utter garbage once again for his country. He's making Welbeck look good. Soon as he puts on an England shirt Wilshire just becomes worse than an amateur.
Oh Suarez. What have you done? (if he has, will reserve judgement until conclusive proof as to me looked like 'just' a headbutt and Chiellini made a meal of it, but why was Luis rubbing his mouth?)
Tut tut, Suarez. That's him out of the World Cup, and I think Uruguay with him.
Italy were pretty terrible once again, and no idea why Marchisio is lifting his foot that high over the ball when they're next to Uruguay's box of all places.
Back to Suarez, what is he thinking? Does he not think about the hundreds of cameras watching him? Utter madness. I love him as a player, but when he does stuff like this there's no defending it.
They're saying on 5Live that someone was banned for life internationally for racism so I can see that happening. I have a horrible feeling they're gonna ban him for us too. I can't really say anything as if it was, say, Rooney I'd want him banned so if Suarez is I won't complain. Ironically though this now makes him even more valuable if we sell him. Not got to fly around the world all the time for meaningless friendlies? Huge, huge plus and makes him more expensive. I don't want us to lose him, ever, but if FSG decide they want him gone now I won't object. He's a ****ing moron.
Just heard Hodgson's press interviews. Was more ludicrous than Suarez's antics.
If Nigeria lose by a one-goal margin to Argentina and Iran win by a one goal margin while scoring one more goal than Nigeria do then both sides will finish level and to decide who goes through FIFA will draw lots. Won't happen but I hope it does.
"Oh smeg. What the smegging smegs he smegging done? He's smegging killed me."
I'd like Iran to go through. Referee ruined the tournament for Bosnia. Shame for Croatia the other night too. Godin should have been banned for the Italy match too. Far too much rubbish going on. Please can we get rid of sepp.
Sadly Iran only turned up for an hour against the Argies while Bosnia only turned up today. Romantically it would have been good for one to go through but realistically neither should and now neither will. Croatia are the same, good for the first half against Brazil and then against Cameroon but for some reason didn't even bother playing against Mexico, them going through ahead of the Mexicans would have been poor. Godin should have been banned yes but we (Italy) reverted to type and played for a draw and it cost us, again, so no complaints there. Agree with Sepp though. If he gets another term I think there could be riots.

I'd said Chile to win 2-1 earlier in the day and with five minutes left I'm sticking to it.
The Colombia v Uruguay game should be fascinating. I can see Uruguay either putting in the performance of the tournament and knocking out the side I'm rooting for (love watching Colombia play, they do it in the right way) or just imploding and getting a right tonking.

Antonio Valencia is bloody awful, and that challenge was horrible. Hilarious hearing Phil Neville try to defend it. Deserves everything he got.
Thing is, that challenge was much worse than Suarez's bite. It's a problem FIFA could find themselves in now as say a Colombian player does a challenge like that tonight against, say, Forlan then the Uruguayan FA can rightly say he should be punished for more than three games. This Suarez ban could open up a huge can of worms that they may never be able to shut again.
Not condoning Suarez before anyone says anything, guy deserves his ban - LFC don't though - but there's so many worse tackles done week in, week out that people just accept. Biting has no place but if someone breaks someones leg then they should rightly now be banned from football for more than four months according to FIFA.
So harsh on Chile. They were the better team and Sanchez was head and shoulders above anyone (Neymar was average yet again). CLICHÉ ALERT: The drama of penalties really went against them.
"Oh smeg. What the smegging smegs he smegging done? He's smegging killed me."
Realistically Brazil have been below average in all four games so far and have relied on luck (dodgy penalties, shots hitting the woodwork, penalty shoot-out win). Soon as they meet a team who have real quality they will get hammered unless they sort themselves out. Colombia, if they get through, will beat Brazil. Even if they somehow jam their way through that one I think Klose and Muller would be rubbing their hands with glee at the prospect of getting a hat-trick.
Intrigued tonight to see if Cavani is any good. Every time I've seen him he's been just a long-haired Danny Welbeck yet everyone raves about him. Would like to see why so hope he has a good game finally.
That is the reason that I hate penalty kicks shoot out. IMO the team that deserves to win doesn't win due to that factor. Seems more luck based then anything else. I wish they would just to to sudden death rules like the NFL.
