Forgive the lateness of this thread I completely forgot about the FIFA World Cup going on due to all the excitement of E3. Anyway I have a few of the games recorded right now so I wont be able to watch them till tonight. Feel free to discuss the FIFA World Cup here.

What a miss by Gonzalo Higuain! He could end up a recluse like Ray Finkle in Ace Ventura, his whole career defined by that clanger...

Well, congratulations to Germany. They turned a chance into a goal, unlike Argentina which had two of those. And they took home another World record with Klose.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

Best team of the tournament won. Argentina will feel even worse when they see all the chances they missed horribly.

Argentina definitely had the best chances in the game, but totally agree that Germany were by far the best team in the tournament. Quite enjoyed the final personally -- brilliant goal.

Well I got to hear the game on the radio at work today . Terrific game. I think Germany overall was the best team. I noticed that alot of the teams tend to be built around one individual like Brazil with Neymar, Portugal with Ronaldo, Uruguay with Surez and Argentina with Messi. Problem is as was seen with Brazil if those people have problems the whole team suffers. I didn't see that too much with Germany.

Now to look forward to Russia in 2018.
