Topic: The Movie Thread

@FuriousMachine Glad you enjoyed it, even though your not the biggest fan of the directors previous work(s).

I really want to talk to folks about Minus Zero. What a movie that was. Hurry and see it everyone. I loved it just as much as Minus One, amazing how a kaiju movie really has you caring about the human characters. It's one hell of an emotional rollercoaster, the first screening was in 4DX i'm not the biggest fan of the format, but it really worked for Minus Zero. I was bursting for a pee in the final act but was locked in and didn't go anywhere until the credits rolled and the only water leaking was from my eyes 😂.

@MightyDemon82 I like how Minus One was the polar opposite of the Monsterverse movies (which I also love): With a focus on the human story and Godzilla being a force of death and destruction, versus Godzilla being the hero and the humans are mostly inconsequential.
They scratch two separate itches and I love that we live in a time where we get both.
Can't wait for Sunday to come around! (I'm still kicking myself a bit for squandering the opportunity to see it early)

@FuriousMachine I agree as I love both. My collection of Godzilla movies is rapidly growing I just wish Critereon would hurry up and give us a Heisei boxset.

Make sure your in plenty time as you don't want to miss the opening scene.
