I saw Project Hail Mary at the cinema the other day. Loved it, and well worth seeing on a big screen. I knew very little about the film, just from a couple of mates and people talking about it on podcasts. It's strange, as if someone had explained what happens in the film, I probably would have waited till it came to home viewing. Ryan Gosling is superb, but I have mostly liked him in stuff since I saw him The Place Beyond The Pines.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@JohnnyShoulder I'm trying to convince my mates to go see it, but the "too much bother, I'll just vegetate drooling on the couch until the streamers put it in front of my eyeballs" rot is too deep and I truly believe they are missing out on a fantastic experience. They also keep claiming they could use a "pick-me-up" in stressful times and I keep saying Project Hail Mary fits the bill so well, but... ah well, their loss, I guess
Fantastic movie; I've seen it twice.
@FuriousMachine It was perfect timing for me as I had some time off so decided to use it to go to the cinema in something like in 2 years. I don't think there was anything else that I would have gone and see when I checked. They did close the nearest cinema (and are now demolishing the retail park it was based in), however there are two more not as close by but only a short bus journey.
