This would be my first time participating if it ended up being Control. I've already played it twice, but never the PS5 Ultimate Edition, so I'd definitely be up for that.
I'm one of the few people that hated Shadow of the Colossus. I barely made it an hour in the game before I shut it off and moved on. It just wasn't for me for whatever reason I guess, and I have no plans to ever give it a second chance.

By my count, we have 5 votes for Control, 4 votes for Shadow of the Colossus and 2 for Bioshock 2. So looks like Control is our next game and because it was so tight, SotC will be our one after that. It was free on PS Plus a while back so just make sure to download by the weekend and we can get started!
It's a really good game, played it in Performance mode on PS5. I know it has ray tracing effects but I appreciated it a lot more with the enhanced framerate over the resolution bump. That's just me though.
@Col_McCafferty Part of me’s tempted to play it again with the PS5 version even though I have the platinum for the PS4 version. Maybe this time it won’t give me a headache and delete my save 😂
@Ralizah These things are usually roughly a month but it all depends how quickly people beat the game. Control isn’t really all that long! And yes, the framerate made it genuinely painful to play for me, although I’m more sensitive to that sorta thing than most. It didn’t stutter, it just permanently ran at a slightly choppy framerate that combined with the colours made me ill.
@nessisonett sounds good, I'll get it set up for this weekend! Did you ever try the dlc? Think this version comes with that and there's an Alan Wake one that might be of interest (if you liked Alan Wake)?
Also got the platinum for this on PS4 but I’ll try and play along now I’ve got the UE version. Playing on base PS4 was ok but it really does need the extra grunt to stop it dropping down to 1-2 fps. Great game though.
@Ralizah I don't recall the frame rate being a huge issue when actually playing the game on PS4, but everytime I when into the menu or map then when back to the game it would take a few seconds to get back into the action. Also happened when loading a save.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@render@nessisonett There’s some decent haptics on the PS5 version as well, if you’re into that kind of thing. I really liked it. Each version of the service weapon feels unique to fire. A couple of them have substantially strong adaptive trigger play that the controller makes so much noise that you are better off wearing headphones 😅. I almost always play on headphones by default and so I didn’t even realize how loud the DualSense was when I was shooting until I happened to play with them off one time. Especially the sniper rifle type of weapon (I forget what it’s called … Surge, maybe?) where you hold down the trigger to power it up before firing — that thing makes the controller buzz like it’s about to explode in your hands. 😅
