@colonelkilgore The S and L thing is the thing people keep bringing up, and it's the only thing that Hasan has ever done that could be seen as consciously hinting towards Silent Hill, although he himself has said he wasn't aware of it. That's all he did, the rest was the internet.
Anyway, I had an experience once. Super small scale in comparison, but it has alwayed stayed with me. I put up a post in a local Facebook group, tried to attract attention towards some affair. I never really got a great response to anything I put online, so I formulated in a way that I hoped would get me some more attention. Beyond my expectations there were so many responses, pretty much all disagreeing with me. At first it was fun seeing so much response, but pretty soon I noticed how it made me feel uneasy, unsafe. Then at some point people started making jokes about that Facebook post offline as well, and I comepletely stressed out. Suffice to say, I wasn't as stable at that time personally as I'm now. I wanted everyone to forget about that post, but I got that response: "You wanted the attention, right? You started"
Often we cannot oversee the effects something we do can have on a mass of people. We also don't know the background of Hasan and how the online stuff might effect them. What we do have is people's words. If they say 'stop', or apologize, or state that they never intended to get this kind of response... we can be decent people and accept that.
Anyway, great to see you're already defending potential abusers. π
@Kidfried I'm not defending abusers, I actually stated that not only would I never partake but that I also didn't agree with online abuse. What I said in addition to that is that Kahraman would have to be an absolute idiot to think he wouldn't get blow back if he was found out. That isn't me defending abuse, it's me stating that whether abuse is just or not, you will get it if you play around with people emotions.
You read it whatever way you want to read it though.
Also, sometimes we only learn not to do things by the effects that have been caused by the actions.
@colonelkilgore Yea, okay, I see how you meant that quote. I was a bit misled, seeing the sentence "you play with fire, get burnt" right after two sentences about abuse. Sorry if I've misinterpret.
@colonelkilgore I have no idea what any of that means and nor do I care to know about it either. It is not just this I'm cynical about, it is the all leaks and rumours which people become obsessive over. Most of it is complete bs anyway and nothing good comes out it, just a load of disappointment.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@JohnnyShoulder The hype cycleβs toxic. Look at Cyberpunk. I refuse to even acknowledge games until we get some sort of gameplay trailer and a release date now.
@colonelkilgore Nice try in trying catch me out, but I believe that was under different circumstances though. Looks like you are trying to just as deceitful as the leaks and rumours you put so much stock in. Please don't tag me in this thread again, I'm done with it for good.

@colonelkilgore I can take banter with the best of them, but one thing one don't like is stuff like you have just done, purposely trying to twist something to make another person look bad. Kinda crossed the line. Some people just don't know when to stop though.
@colonelkilgore And like a lot of people who think they are just having 'bants', you seemingly don't when to stop, do you? Anyway, I have no interest with this anymore, good day to you sir.

Career-Kojima theorist yongyea has now entered the fray and put a good vid up. Pretty balanced take on the info available including the recent Kahraman interview with a Dutch outlet.
@Thrillho Jason Schreier has been super weird about all this, and if I may say so, for someone with his authority pretty unprofessional. He's been fueling the fire off and on, seemingly playing both sides.
Hasan's live video is stirring up the flames that he posted on Twitter a few hours ago. He is definitely not working on Silent Hill (okay then he could be working on Silent Hills?) Some are saying that his video is actually gameplay with new technology, some say he is about to cry. I love a bit of intrigue, hoping everything comes out good
Can't think of anything good to put here just yet, watch this space...
@Throb No matter what he does people will never believe him. That's how conspiracy theorists work. They want the world to be more magical and mysterious than it is, and they won't let any proof stop them. Whenever you hand them proof, they'll come up with something else, find another angle.
We've seen it with vaccines, pizzagate and religions too.
