@colonelkilgore i'm calling it now:on the 22nd sony will announce their ps5 event and the "silent hill" trailer will end with a text saying to expect more info on the ps5 event's date.
the trailer will only imply it is silent hill with the actuall reveal at the ps5 event confirming it.
Looks like we're gonna have to wait a little longer to find out exactly what's going in with this Abandoned situation, the Apps just been delayed from the 22nd (tomorrow) to the 25th (Friday).
As I've said previously, it's quite rare that something like this erupts and captures the imagination of the gaming community in the way that this has. I think we should all just enjoy it while it lasts and not get too butt-hurt when all is revealed.
I do get a lot of people wanting to remain a little 'too cool for school' and not open themselves up to getting excited about something that could all just be nothing or even one big con (Dev con 2021)... one thing that just sticks with me on this though, is the game title Demon Blood on Hasan Kahraman's verified PSN account. Its not a real game and has the Siren Head icon next to it as it's symbol... and obviously Junji Eto tweeted regarding Siren Head when announcing that he would be working with Kojima on a horror game around a year ago.
It could be nothing, it could be a clever use of symbolism by an opportunist... or it could be Kojima up to his old tricks.
@Thrillho LOL I hope your joking. It really is quite ridiculous the lengths some people will go to with these things. I had a HK symbol in my toast this morning. Silent Hills confirmed
Some may think it does no harm, but some people do get their hopes and expectations up unrealistically, and then get massively disappointed. Not healthy for some people to do that on a regular basis.
@Kidfried possibly KF, but if (which is very possible) there is no connection it would tend to indicate that Hasan Kahraman implemented some of the things to look like coincidences in an effort to spark the interest. In which case, he would simply be reaping what he sowed imho.
@JohnnyShoulder as someone who wears his Abandoned-cynicism on his sleeve, I'm interested to hear your take on the potential Demon Blood-Siren Head-Junji Eto connection.
@Kidfried It's just my opinion but if Hasan Kahraman specifically put things in place to garner attention knowing that it was because he set it up to make people think it was for a separate, far more desirable product... he would be an idiot to assume that some people might tweet him some less than savoury content if caught out.
The very tip of the iceberg was the starts with S and ends with L tweet. There were already rumours way before that tweet connecting Abandoned to a Kojima Silent Hill game, so if this all comes to nothing, Kahraman knew exactly what he was letting himself in for when the tweet was sent.
Do I encourage online abuse? No. Would I partake? No. But you play with fire and you get burned.
@Kidfried I'm not defending abusers, I actually stated that not only would I never partake but that I also didn't agree with online abuse. What I said in addition to that is that Kahraman would have to be an absolute idiot to think he wouldn't get blow back if he was found out. That isn't me defending abuse, it's me stating that whether abuse is just or not, you will get it if you play around with people emotions.
You read it whatever way you want to read it though.
Also, sometimes we only learn not to do things by the effects that have been caused by the actions.
@colonelkilgore I have no idea what any of that means and nor do I care to know about it either. It is not just this I'm cynical about, it is the all leaks and rumours which people become obsessive over. Most of it is complete bs anyway and nothing good comes out it, just a load of disappointment.

@JohnnyShoulder The hype cycle’s toxic. Look at Cyberpunk. I refuse to even acknowledge games until we get some sort of gameplay trailer and a release date now.
