@Shigurui@z0d15g0d As I said on the WuWa thread I’ve just deleted HSR. I’ve been complaining about everything from the story to the power creeping for months and after looking at all the other games in my backlog I could be playing that I would enjoy more it was a no brainer.
I might maybe come back at some point to see how the story pans out, but the way it’s told dragging out 2 hours of content to 8 hours… probably not.
But I hope you enjoy the trailblaze… there was a lot of fun while it lasted.
Started galactic baseballer and it's tons of fun like last time. They should make this permanent like the other endgame content.
Unfortunately since I play on PC I've started having an issue of it restarting my PC when I launch it since updating Nvidia. Extremely frustrating as it restarts at random points. I've tried every solution I could find online and even sent a message to Hoyo support but they clearly don't give 2 F's as I haven't spent whale money.
@Shigurui I'm not really playing it again. It's still on my iPad and I booted it up to:
A) Get the free monthly wishes from the shop / 7-day login wishes
B) see if Phainon was released. I always wanted him and thought maybe i'd grab him now for if I ever come back.
I'd quite like to finish the story at some point, even if it's been a bit *****, but I absolutely don't want to do the daily/weekly stuff it just eats up too much time.
But I might come back and play a chunk every so often and just ignore getting and building most new characters. So i'll probably login from time to time to get things like the monthly wishes or livestream codes, anything that's a couple of clicks, so that if I do come back I can afford some future character.
Quitting this and ZZZ is the best decision I've made in ages.
Ah, yeah I did the same with the monthly pulls in Genshin until I ran out of whatever currency it was you bought them with. What are 7 day login wishes? Never seen those.
@Shigurui Thanks. With "skip" being added I might return to the game to keep up with the story a bit, skipping any of the more boring bits and watching when it heats up. But i'm not coming back for dailies/weeklies etc.

re: 7 day login wishes. There was a banner to get 10x wishes if you logged in for 7 days. But this might have been part of the "return to the game" banners. I don't know precisely how it works in HSR but typically if you log in after several weeks away (often 21 days) you get lots of additional banners that reward you for coming back.
Some rewards are simply for logging in, others you have to do something to get it, it's bascially trying to get you back into the loop. This included primogems, free wishes, and some new currency to automatically complete domains without having to fight them so you could get through all your reserve trailblaze power quickly. I logged in for 7 days picked up these wishes and put it on auto battle for the latest Apocalyptic shadow and gained about 20 wishes in total. Which i'll use when I come back.
I think you have to wait 6 weeks without logging in after last getting using the "return to the game" banner to get it again. Basically you have to skip a whole patch, otherwise these return to game banners would be close to rewarding you more than playing the game!
@themightyant - Ah right, I've played every day since HSR released so never seen that thing for returning players. I'll be hammering that skip button lol, as much as I hate ZZZ the summary option was the best thing about it, hopefully that's exactly what we'll get in HSR.
So the skip function coming in the next patch has me interested, as does Phainon, I will likely try and play the story quest and see how I get on. I think i'm already one behind.
Ahead of that I spent a few hours abusing the auto-battle feature while watching sport to get as gems from many of the the recent events, and end game modes lile PF, MoC, AS.
I'm not interested in coming back for dailies or weeklies - I've completed so many more games since I dropped HSR and ZZZ, and I want to keep it that way - but logging in periodically like this you can still get a lot of gems in a minimal amount of time. Hopefully I'll stick around for the story at least till the end of Amphoreus.
I wonder if any of my early story predictions will come true?
@themightyant - I've got HSR dailies down to a fine art lol, I just spend fuel wherever needed to get the daily jades. No domain takes longer than 53 seconds and I comfortably get the BP to lvl 50. I don't need or care for the last 20 levels for credits and relic mats. Happy enough with that. I've quit every other GaaS I was playing too, deleted WuWa and Division 2, gave away my HSR alt and hit my backlog big time. Feels good!
@Shigurui Well done. I've played Expedition 33, Blue Prince, Doom Dark Ages, Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Metroid Dread, Days Gone, gone back to finish Ghost of Tsushima and a handful of smaller games since I dropped the dailies. It feels great.
Back on HSR. My Phainon pulls were initially and predictably... not great. I went to full pity and pulled... Blade. To be fair I don't have him and with Blade getting a buff I don't mind too much. Especially as I pulled Phainon in the next 20 pulls. Buoyed by that I decided to try and snipe his BiS Sunday and also pulled him in 20 pulls. Further buoyed by that I used up my remaining jades to try and pull Phainon's weapon... no dice after 30ish pulls, but with reruns coming in 3.4 pt 2, I might try and use up any gems I make to get his weapon and/or an eidolon. As I previously mentioned I'm more interested in improving the characters I have or like than getting a massive roster now.
That all said I seem to have a LOT of building to do. Phainon, Sunday, Blade from the ground up. Plus Jingliu needs retooling for HP, Silver Wolf may need some adjusting for less EHR. The advantage of not playing is I have 2000+ reserve Trailblazer power and 60+ reserve Fuel saved for domains. I'm currently sitting at my desk working and pressing triangle every few minutes to "grind" relics on auto battle in the background. It's quite nice to not be time limited and just be able to build characters immediately. I'm no longer interested in grinding to make them as powerful as possible I just need them to be acceptable.
My biggest concern is light cones with Bronya and Sunday wanting the same one, HP Jingliu & Blade also wanting the same one and Phainon porbably wanting to take Firefly's (On the Fall of an Eon) as usual with these games... decisions, decisions.
@themightyant - Congrats on the haul man, very nice! I just went for Sunday and his signature LC, got both and dropped some pity build pulls on Phainon's banner to hit 200 for the 'free' Archer LC.
@Shigurui Nice! I didn't think about the free Archer LC. I likely made 130+ towards that. Not that I expect the free crossover character to be great. But maybe...
@themightyant - Archer looks to be really decent, not sure he'll be quite the single target monster that Boothill is but not far off. As for the LC I was making most of those pulls anyway so I'll take it. I got an early 5* with the extras (Himeko dupe), so I'm guaranteed my next. All good.
@Shigurui That's nice to hear, I haven't followed any leaks or kits and just assumed the free cross over character would be average. Would be grant if they aren't.
@themightyant - He's very SP hungry so his BiS ally would be Sparkle but any team of SP neutral/positive units will work. I'll likely run him with Sunday, Hanya, Luocha, Gallagher etc.
@Shigurui Talking of SP Hungry, Phainon in his BiS team with Sunday and Bronya is very SP hungry even with the SP boost. I need to try him other 4th slot characters.
@themightyant - I've played his trial a few times and really like him, Sparkle is in that trial so the extras help but I don't have her. I'll probably get him before banner end as I have S1 Sunday and E2 Bronya and I can buy her signature LC from the store. Hopefully that combo can solve his SP demands. Who do you run in the flex slot?
@Shigurui I did have Rememerance TB but I’m still working on it, need to try other options. I don’t have HuoHuo (she was the first banner I lost right back near the beginining). Finding it really hard to speed tune the team though. Ideally 136 Phainon, 135 Sunday, 134 Bronya. I have Bronya at 134, Sunday 136 and Phainon I don’t even have any SPD boots. So the teams order is all messed up
