Noticed we didn't have a discussion for Death Stranding 2, so thought I'd rectify that as I'm sure many of you are playing. Please be careful with spoilers for the sake of other members — you can tag spoilers if you need to.

On Episode 8 right now. Like I said in one of the articles, this is the "perfect" sequel, because every gripe I had with the first game (got platinum for it btw) they changed for the better. A prime example being only showing the BTs encounter animation only once, because my god that was tedious sitting through that every time!

I know the game/franchise is polarising, no one and I mean no one can't say Kojima Productions haven't cook on Decima engine. Think others have brought up the point, why doesn't Sony?Guerrilla give the engine to other studios. Because it's WAY better then Unreal 5, in my personal opinion anyway.

I don't own the game yet as I've only just recently started the first one but what I've seen of it looks incredible from a graphics standpoint and it certainly sounds like it's everything a sequel should be.

I'm sure I'll get it down the line but it won't be until after I finish the first game.

@Kairuuu I hope you are enjoying the first one. I gave it solid 8/10, but once you get to second you honestly could never go back to it!

New patch gone live at noon today UK time, anyone know what it fixes as can't find any patch notes online? Hopefully the overheating issue on the map screen ideally...

also massive props for the game selling 1.5 million copies already "Keep on keeping on 🥳"

I just reached Episode 6. Man, episode 5 was freaking awesome, from the top to the bottom. It was such a cool experience that I don’t want to spoil for anyone. I’m really loving this game so far. To me, it seems like the perfect sequel.

It looked amazing on my OLED TV too. It took me a while to get through it because I was too busy looking around and taking photos. 😂

Soo I've just finished the main story, and yeah it's a master piece (actually in shock right now while watching the credits)

Edit: I feel so privileged to have played three 10/10 games this year, with them being KCD2, Expedition 33 and DS2, I have extremely high hopes that Ghost of Yotei will make it four!!

I'm only up to episode 7, but the story is definitely better than the first game so far.

@Oram77 But haven’t you heard? This the the worst console gaming generation ever and there’s literally nothing to play on PS5. Everyone who has a PS5 should absolutely regret it and run and get a PC.

@Th3solution That is true and also if it is not made by a Sony first party developer, the game doesn't exist.

@Th3solution Ugh, I can't stand that narrative at all 🤦‍♂️there have been plenty of bangers this generation, people are just choosing to close their eyes to this fact.

On a brighter note, I only need two more trophies for the plat, I will say I'm kinda disappointed that they are basically a carbon copy of the first game's trophy list, but hey they are optional so they don't take away my overall enjoyment of the game.

I am loving every moment of the game so far. I am finding it to be my super chill game. Load it up, carry out a few deliveries, build some roads and drop a few likes.

Is the plat as much of a grind as the first one? I didn't bother even trying with the first game because I couldn't be arsed with how much you had to do. It was like another 60 hours on top of the 40 finishing the story!
