Didn't see a thread already for this, so thought I'd create one with the release looming.

I probably would have done my usual thing of waiting till the price dropped, but after playing Alan Wake 2 this was a rare day one purchase for me.

I know there are a few peeps that are into scores for video game and sound design, and I found the below article interesting.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

I didn't realize it was as close as it actually is, though technically I'll be waiting a little longer for the physical version. I have full faith in Sam Lake and Remedy, but I am a little unsure if it will hit the same for me as the first game. I'd never identified with a game character before until I met Jessie in the original game and I'm always open to trying new things. Like I said recently too the book and The Oldest House were a kind of home away from home for me with it's winding corridors and brutalist interior, it was very familiar and welcoming. I haven't looked into the story of the second game, but I do know it's set outside this time so that's something I'll have to work up to. I remain cautiously optimistic. On the evening of the reveal I thought it was a new Prototype game, others too I'm sure.

These violent delights have violent ends & in their triumph die, like fire & powder Which, as they kiss, consume.
