@graymamba
I’ve had that too where I would swear that the notification didn’t appear.
Anyway congrats on that plat, I haven’t managed it myself as I did a play through and got a little burnt out on it. I did mostly like it although the burn out happened towards the end as I recall it was a bit of slog.
EDIT just checked and I got all the trophies except two of the three endings plus complete game as Cleric and Warrior. So a couple more playthrus I guess.
@CaptD yeah that’s exactly where I was after my first playthrough back in 2018. Might be worth returning to it the next time you fancy a bit of souls-action. Wouldn’t take too long to get both playthroughs done… probably 5 or 6 hours each 🤔.
Crimson Spires
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
Eternal Kingdom Battle Peak (No plat, just 100%)
Minecraft: Playstation 5 Edition
I'm also two trophies off of the plat for Throne and Liberty, but I have to wait for the Dynamic Bosses I need to kill to show up. One of them is random, so I'll get that soon, but the other one only shows up on Wednesdays, which I work, so won't get that until my week off at the end of the month.
I'm pretty annoyed with High on Life right now. I had the PSN trophy guide open while played for tips to avoid missable trophies. Got to a point where I needed a certain gun equipped for a conversation but only realised it was the convo once it had started on it's own. It wouldn't let me back out of the conversation so I paused and hit restart last checkpoint. So what did it do but GO FORWARD past the conversation. Exiting to the main menu gave no other options to load so I'll have to replay the whole thing to this point again if I want that trophy.
I'll see how I feel at the end if I bother. I've never known a checkpoint reload to progress forward ever before. 😠
I rarely trophy hunt these days but I genuinely enjoyed this game and seeing as how I naturally did almost everything in it, I wanted to collect those last trinkets in order to unlock the Platinum. It takes some time to get the Platinum but the game is so good that it's worth it.
@CaptD It's really well done as the set up allows for some good creativity in designing your museums which Hospital and Campus don't really allow. The expedition mechanic to send staff off to search for new exhibits works really well.
The game also encourages you to switch between your museums more than the other games did as well and you can use the different types of exhibits in all of the museums as well, rather than them feeling locked to one particular level.
Only 8 hours long and a really stylish cyberpunk noir detective game. The story falls a little flat at the end and the limited gameplay is a bit repetitive but the majority of the plot and the overall atmosphere is great. Worth a punt if you're after something a bit shorter.
Latest one is Hogwarts Legacy.
Been totally addicted to this, so I need a holiday now from the stress of student life.
Surprised about how good this was and that is from someone who isn’t a Potter fan.
The grind at the end was a bit much though and I really flipped my lid when a mirror moth bugged out on me but thankfully after I had calmed down I found out it isn’t needed for the platinum anyway.
Difficulty 3/10, about 50 hours.
@Thrillho Thanks for the extra info, it was the expedition mode that seemed like a great inclusion. Hopefully when I get round to playing it my team doesn’t come back with a curse or a nasty mozzie bite.
@graymamba
Cheers. Definitely a good Christmas game as you will see, I might play Oblivion during the winter period.
Just downloaded Atlas Fallen to play whilst Jedi survivor downloads...odd thing to say but it does make sense.
Platinum 60: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered
Platinum 61: Throne and Liberty
Managed to grab two plats today! Loved playing Oblivion even more now than I did when it first released. Throne and Liberty is pretty good for a free-to-play game, but it took me ages to get the plat because some bosses only appear at certain times during the week and I was always at work.
Well done on recent plats folks, Oblivion and Exp 33 both look very good.
My latest plat is the (imo) highly underrated Atlas Fallen from the Lords of the fallen (not that one) and The Surge devs. A sort of monster hunt light game set in the desert and the main method of traversal is sand surfing which is great but the sand is coarse and rough and irritating and gets everywhere.
A solid 7.5 and an enjoyable platinum with not too many collectibles and stuff plus almost everything is easily tracked. 3/10 difficulty and 30 hours. Played on PS Extra.
These recent shorter offerings have been really enjoyable compared to the 100h+ behemoths the main games have become.
The main plot isn’t all that in depth but still serviceable, and it’s actually quite nice not having to keep up with a ridiculous spider diagram of who’s who. But the game does dabble in bringing back some fun side activities like Dragon Kart, as well as introducing new ones still (exploding Home Run anyone?).
The two combat styles for Majima are both quite fun and the fact that the game changes the default style depending on if you’re in Hawaii or pirate territory means I ended up actually using both.
The game is kind of easy though which may be because I tend to do all side content as soon as it’s available but it meant big boss fights were over disappointingly quickly and random encounters were often finished in a single attack.
Travelling around in your ship was cool to start with but became pretty tedious and the boat combat the same, particularly in the Pirate Coliseum.
But overall great fun if you’re a fan of the series. I like that they’re not afraid of using the characters’ age as a story point either rather than just shying away from it, and it’s even more fun that the story here is actually canon.
So, I spent the memorial day weekend at my bf's place and finished up Astro's Playroom on his Pro. Absolutely everything, including, of course, the Platinum trophy. Although I admit I couldn't figure out how to find or unlock the hidden bots myself, so I used a guide for those. Unlike the collectibles and secrets in the main game, finding them isn't particularly rewarding or intuitive.
Fun little game, and my first PS5 Platinum! The devs are so slavishly true to the Nintendo spirit they're clearly drawing from that they even include some of the awful gimmick/vehicle segments from 3D Mario games that I hate. Overall, though, it's an incredibly pretty and charming little title, and I'm not surprised it made such a strong impression on Playstation fans when it first released.
Also gotta love the final boss being a callback to the PS1 T-Rex tech demo. They dig deep into the well of Sony's history in very cool ways.
I'm fairly impressed with the features of the Dualsense itself. It really puts Ninty's "HD rumble" to shame, although we'll see if they can match it at all with their upcoming Switch 2. Although we know that won't happen with the neat, pressure sensitive analog triggers.
