@colonelkilgore Yeah there are a couple of online trophies which I boosted months ago, it only took a few minutes as you can lock the online functionality to "friends only". If you intend to play the game And wish to boost then just drop me a message.

In all honesty I hadn't looked at Deathloop trophies so wasn't aware of online ones. Guess I'm gonna need them too then and if it's only gonna take a few minutes to boost, I'd rather do it that way. Already have it installed but have never played it.

@sorteddan Happy to help. Feel free to PM me your PSN Id.
and @colonkilgore There is a prologue that you need to finish before you can MP, not sure how long it was as all I can remember is a crazy number of pop up messages telling me this and that...at the time it reminded me of MS Windows when an application crashed or a virus was playing havoc. 😂
@colonelkilgore
FYI Prologue mission took me around 2 hours (I wasn't particularly rushing it) and the two online trophies took approx 2 mins. Big thanks to @CaptD for letting me steal their identity and then shotgun them in the face 3 times!
@colonelkilgore
I found it quite amusing a few times, it definitely has a style and humour to it that immediately impresses. Handles about what I expected it would, FPS style but with the freedom to tackle things in your preferred style as I would expect from an Arkane game. It looks interesting and promising but, as you say, I've barely begun and the repetition hasn't set in yet.

Ping...Deathloop.
An enjoyable game which didn't feel like Arkane initially but did so as the game progressed.
Pretty good trophy list although I did have to resort to a guide on a number of occasions plus one or two annoying trophies and worst of all a buggy one (cleanish hands) which no one seems to have pinned down exactly what causes it to fail (I suspect it is the suicide bombers in the first area so watch out there). Thankfully the bugged trophy is fairly quick to run through and it pinged after the third attempt. Shame that Arkane seem to be taking QA lessons from their (immediate) parent company. Oh well I doubt we will see any more from them, shame. 🤔
@colonelkilgore No rush as I don't need the Ssd space. @RogerRoger Yeah it did feel like the definition of insanity as I did exactly the same each time, there were other bugs far worse.
The worst by far was the menu system getting stuck in a state where it wouldn't close so forcing me to restart, the problem is it only saves at the end of levels so I lost 30+ mins a couple of times. In the end I didn't use the menus mid level which made progress a bit tricky as I didn't read notes and then forget to read them later, this was probably the reason I had to refer to a guide on a couple of occasions. Amazing that the fault hasn't been fixed as I could reproduce it fairly easily and would seem fairly easy to fix but clearly it isn't.
Platinum #125 - Doom Eternal - amazing game fair play! Took a fair while for me to get my head around all of the mechanics… pretty sure that they’ve added some since Doom 2016 (as well as some new and real tricky enemies that always seem to turn up at the worst possible time) but once I did, my respect for the game just grew and grew.
Struggled a fair old bit during my first playthrough on Hurt Me Plenty… so was a bit anxious about taking on the Running Up The High Score Trophy where you have to finish the game again, finishing with over 13 lives left… then I didn’t die the whole run and ended up with 53 lives so pretty satisfying all in all.
@CaptD in fairness Hurt Me Plenty is basically normal, so I wasn't massively brave or anything. I just thought playing through on that during my first playthrough would aid my subsequent Extra Life mode playthrough as I would've had to of developed a more solid skillset. Now that I've done it though, I don't think there was anything to worry about and two easy playthroughs would've been fine.
@RogerRoger thanks Rog. So I’ve actually gone back and watched a few reviews today since finishing it and from what I can tell (although it’s only been roughly 18 months since I played Doom 2016… the only thing I really remember about it was that I really enjoyed it and little else) a lot of the issues people had was that Eternal ‘made’ players play in a particular way (essentially plate-spinning your various resources as it always feels like you don’t have enough of anything). Apparently 2016 gave the player far more agency to play it their way ie. if you just wanna super-shotgun everything… you can make that happen.
As I mentioned, I do remember really enjoying 2016… and initially I found Eternal a bit too much to deal with. There’s just so many different things to consider in a very short amount of time… but once it clicks it’s something else… even for someone like me who doesn’t really play many of these types of games. Looking forward to something a bit more chilled now though as the past couple of weeks have felt really intense.
#154 Hot Wheeis Unleashed (PS5)
Decided to go back to this last week after a few months away from it, quite easy to pick up where I'd left off. A bit more grindy at the end than I would have wanted but nothing too strenous. Massively indebted to all the Youtubers who posted vids showing the shortcuts necessary to beat the time trials, I wouldn't have had a chance without them.
