Platinum #57 - Undertale - super easy and quick platinum trophy this one. Only started it as The Division 2 servers were down and got through it in one sitting. Not my kinda thing if I’m honest but was… ‘different’.
Platinum No. 17 and 4000th trophy - Death... nope its for The Pathless. Straight forward enough, with only a few for collectables, which you should get just by playing the game naturally as you don't have collect/read everything contained in the game.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

@RogerRoger yeah, it’s weird… you just need to access the save point before the boss. Weird game all around really… funny… but strange. It made me smile quite a few times but I kinda wish I’d chosen something else to fill the gap.
@RogerRoger yeah I did too... by the time the plat popped, The Division 2 servers were back up and I just thought **** it... I'm not particularly enjoying it anyway 🤷♂️
Mostly straightforward but I looked at a guide for a few hidden areas to get the final few ability points I needed for the last trophy to ping the plat. I've already finished the AWE DLC with all the trophies and am just in the early stages of the Foundations DLC.
@Thrillho nice dude, I didn’t play the dlc’s during my playthrough… think that I will when I playthrough the PS5 version though. One of the best games I played last year tbh.
@colonelkilgore The AWE one can be played midway through the main story but Foundations is end game.
I wrote a little bit about AWE elsewhere but I quite liked it and it used some of your abilities in different ways. The multi-launch ability makes combat way easier as you can throw up to three objects in combat. The grenade launcher weapon is also ridiculously powerful.
Foundations hasn’t really grabbed me so far and I almost gave up on it but I know if I don’t play it now then I never will.
@Thrillho I found Foundations way more interesting than AWE but then I haven't ever played Alan Wake so didn't have the back story. I liked Foundations as it was set in a radically different area and found that one more of a challenge out of the two. Have you tried the Expeditions stuff yet? I had a go a few times and think I managed a few but generally the challenge ramps right up at that point.
@colonelkilgore@Thrillho There were some rumours going around that that's why they bought back the rights from MS so really hoping that's the case as I've heard lots of good things about it 🤞
@Keith_Zissou I’ve been playing for a couple of weeks so I reckon around the 50 hour mark? I can check on that later. The main story is pretty linear with plenty of fast travel available once you’ve visited areas before. Plenty of side missions and other optional stuff on top.
Disco Elysium is brilliant though but not that short either.
@render@colonelkilgore As I said elsewhere, I never played Alan Wake but had a quick read of the plot. It was clever to work that game into the overall world covering both games. The light mechanic in that DLC made the game feel a little different.
So far in Foundations I’ve only unlocked the first new ability and it’s been a bit slow so far. I think I sometimes find it hard to push on once I’ve already finished the main game.
@Thrillho Congrats on Control plat. Was a favorite of mine. Like others have said, the Foundation DLC area was really aesthetically a nice change of pace. The abilities are alright too. Overall I liked it more than most people, who rank it as the lesser of the two DLCs but I think it was on par with AWE.

Just got platinum (#88) for Prey on PS4. Pretty good game, kinda like a bioshock/deux ex mash up on a spacestation. Took around 40-45 hours with two playthroughs and a little bit of save scumming for otherwise missable trophies. I would recommend it just for the tension & apprehension of the first few hours when mimics seem to jump out at you from everywhere.

Good work on the Control shiny. Like most others I also really enjoyed that in all its weirdness a few months back. Also appreciated that you didn't have to get 100% of the stuff for collectables trophies if I recall correctly.
@Sorteddan I know you said it was maybe a 6 or 7 out of 10 the other day… does that stand or did your rating change at all during the course of your playthrough?
I remember it seemed to get really average reviews on its release but seems to have really grown in people’s opinions (a lot of the Youtubers I watch) over the last few years it has been out. I really enjoyed the Dishonored games, so I’m quite curious to give it a go.

I would stick with that, probably go for a 7. It's pretty good but not great. Exploring is interesting but it maybe drags a bit towards the end. Enemies are fairly menacing but once you upgrade enough they merely slow you down rather than challenge you, also they respawn in areas you previously cleared and as ammo is hard to come by/create and the game involves a bit of backtracking you are just as well running past them as taking them down.
I enjoyed the first play, head down grinded the second and was glad to see the final trophies pop so I can move into something else.
