@crimsontadpoles Yeah, it was a 50/50 between scouting as the Point Man and going straight for the house as an Elite Guard. Sometimes these Elusive Targets can be won or lost on the smallest of decisions about where and how to start.

Although it's good that you can restart as many times as you like, providing that you don't actually start achieving objectives; without that, I wouldn't have gotten half of them since launch!

@RogerRoger I once again did the Drop the bass achievement/ trophy. I noticed that I had to use a different tree location to make them coconuts land on their head. Lol.
I have noticed subtle changes with the levels that were in hitman 1goty, and how some things are different in 2.

Favorite so far is suit only, master difficulty no spottes, no bodies found Miami. 3 mins 18 secs. Working on getting under 3 mins but have to wait for targets.

Did you do Pink Army trophy/achievement yet?
Muffin man or butler did it challenges?

As your master leveling increases the unlocks help speed up the game significantly and provide new kill methods, which adds replayability

@LaJettatura Holy cow, you're an elite assassin! Aside from a few obvious / comedy speedruns (like in New York, where you can totally just stand in that little entrance area with a sniper rifle, shoot Athena Savalas through her office window, slip the rifle into a briefcase and walk nonchalantly down to the vault) I've never attempted anything like Miami in three minutes! Bravo!

I didn't do the Pink Army, no. From what I gather, there's no way of doing it without killing pretty much everybody you encounter and I'm not a big fan of playing as a mass murderer. That and the Isle of Sgàil hidden trophies I've yet to unlock, but I'm not sure I ever will.

But you're right, I do love the Mastery system, especially when going back for Elusive Targets or other challenges and you've got a host of starting locations, disguises and weapons to pick from!

@RogerRoger I did complete the Pink army achievement/trophy last night. I only ended up killing 3 peeps and then I got killed. The mascot costume does obscure your aiming. However it popped and was quite amusing and it is a fun challenge. I would suggest playing it on casual since on professional the guards are still spot on. I will attempt again because after doing Pink Army you kill both targets a secret exit opens up, related directly to that achievement/trophy. Isle of sigail has a similar secret exit but the butler must be escorted to open it for you.

This is another easy 100% achievements it's the grind that makes the hours go by.

RogerRoger

@LaJettatura Yeah, I've seen both those secret exits you mention (not in my game, but on YouTube). They're neat little easter eggs but then Hitman has always been a dream franchise for easter egg hunters.

Will take a second look at Pink Army if you can limit casualties. Thanks!

@LaJettatura No, I'm saving the hidden trophies from New York for when I need to get some practice, ahead of returning for the tropical resort DLC later in the autumn. Apparently it takes quite a while to set up, but nothing as complex as the butler in Isle of Sgàil.

Have you done it?

@RogerRoger Yes, I have completed Defenestration. Setup took no time at all if you are New York Mastery Level 15. I would say 15 minutes tops on this particular Trophy/Achievement.
Ill get you rolling on this:
Investment Banker, Lockpick, Silverballer, Sniper Rifle in Briefcase in Executive breakroom.
only 2 Disguise changes, Follow fired banker quest line after you get the Datacore. Target Killed only. Sniper used to shoot bird flying around in bank lobby after you kill target(Window Push)

Have Fun!
Now I just have Leap of Faith to do.

I managed to successfully do the current legacy elusive target, The Gunrunner, even less elegantly than my usual messy style. First time around, I struggled to find the target and got badly compromised, so opted to replan the mission. Then the second time around, my remote explosive attack narrowly missed the target, so I had to quickly run back and shoot him, then flee whilst getting shot at.

New DLC the final one for Hitman 2 is out today. 12GB update. Time to have some fun in the sun with Agent 47. Post comments if you played it. 3 Targets on a island...

LaJettatura

@crimsontadpoles This target was easy, you just had to lure him into the bathroom that was right next to the runway exit...

@LaJettatura My earlier post is outdated, I was talking about the previous legacy elusive target set in the Marrakesh underground parking lot.

With the current target, The Blackmailer, I did try to get him into that bathroom near the runway using an emetic poison injection. Someone saw me injecting him and I had to run away and hide. Eventually I just shot the target, then ran to the exit whilst getting shot at.

Luring him into the bathroom with coins or something would have been smart. I often use coins, but just didn't think to use them this time.

As for the DLC, now that all the main content is available I'll probably pick it up eventually. The extra areas do look really interesting from the few clips I've seen of them.

Haven Island dlc, the final dlc for hitman 2 is pretty cool. The map is easy to memorize, not overly huge. Many ways to go about your business. Lots of challenges and Easter eggs.

After all that's said and done with this game, I think hitman 2 with the inclusion of content from hitman 1 finally felt like a complete hitman experience.

Of course Agent 47 will be back...

@LaJettatura I really need to get around to Haven Island. As soon as I've finished Jedi Outcast, I'll be booting it up. Glad you've only got positive things to say about it!

@RogerRoger I spent about 11 hours playing the new map and did all the trophies/achievements.

One reward that was super cool: A Silenced Poison Emetic Dart Gun!

So it is a worthy level for your consideration...

@LaJettatura Blimey, that weapon sounds like a game-changer! That's awesome!!

So many previous levels have just become so much easier, now that we can make people throw up from a distance! Suit Only runs are gonna be a cakewalk!

Thanks for the heads-up; I'll definitely try and get to it ASAP now!

The current legacy elusive target, The Angel of Death, is a good one. Eccentric old British ladies do make for fun characters. It's also a challenging mission, as she hangs around in the busy market areas of Marrakesh with a four guard escort.

I couldn't figure out a good way of killing her, so instead I threw a remote explosive toy near her, hid round the corner, then blew it up before making my escape.

IO Interactive have announced their October roadmap, and this month has the first brand new Elusive Target in ages (it's not a legacy one). This target is The Serial Killer, who will appear on 25th October.

There's also a Legacy Elusive Target appearing on 11th October, The Warlord.

I didn't have the original Hitman 1 game, so all the legacy targets have been new to me. However, a brand new non-legacy elusive target means that they'll appear in a Hitman 2 location, which will make a pleasant change from hunting down the targets in the Hitman 1 areas.

@crimsontadpoles I used the same method as you. Too heavily guarded and I was going for a poison kill as a food vendor but got waylaid, so I pulled out the old rubber ducky.
