This New PS5 Game Looks Like Sweet Catharsis 1

As Fred Durst once crooned, “Give me something to break!”

And that’s the subject of this upcoming PS5 game, Table Flip Simulator, due out on 21st May.

It’s a physics puzzler all about blowing off steam, which seems like an essential purchase considering the state of the world right now. Much like Limp Bizkit, one look at BBC News makes us want to break stuff, too.

We suppose this is kinda like Burnout’s legendary Crash mode, albeit in more everyday scenarios. The press release mentions “surviving a class of high school students”, for example – enough to make anyone want to flip tables.

Actually, we strongly suspect this is inspired by the infamous Taito arcade game named Cho Chabudai Gaeshi, which had a cabinet with an actual Japanese tea table that you physically had to flip.

It’s a shame that Table Flip Simulator’s art is all a bit Roblox, and doesn’t have anywhere near the character of the aforementioned Cho Chabudai Gaeshi.

Also, publisher PM Studios really should have prepared a real-life table peripheral for the PS5. We’d have bought that for a high price.

No but seriously, this does look like sweet catharsis, doesn’t it? Are you tempted to flip any tables next week? Let us know below.
