Good news: Stellar Blade won't suffer a delay at the final hour as the PS5 exclusive has now gone gold. This means that work on the base 1.0 version of the game is complete, so Shift Up can start printing the title onto PS5 discs. Between now and launch, the developer will likely work on a day one update to address any last-minute hitches or bugs.
According to the tweet published by the game's Twitter account, it sounds like work was completed some time ago, so that initial patch may already be well in the works. If you want to try the game right now, a demo is still available from the PS Store. We came away impressed with what we played during that demo, praising Stellar Blade as the "type of game fans have been demanding from PlayStation for a while: original, single player-centric, and gameplay focused".

Going gold two weeks before release is what games tend to do, but yeah, it's content.
But all snark aside, I'm looking forward to this. Feels like a game release from the PS2 or PS3 era which is just a good feeling.
After playing the demo I think I prefer this game over anything right now. Great gameplay, beautiful graphics, and English voiceover that isn't cringe.
I think I prefer it over Bayonetta.
The discourse over this game is short bus levels of stupid.
People refusing to play the game because of the character design. People only playing the game because of Eve’s character design (these people will wear out the photo mode once introduced).
Meanwhile, there is a large population of gamers (like myself) who genuinely look forward to this game because of the gameplay, performance and story details.
Gamers have never been so stupid.
