Guilty Gear Strive will have 15 characters in its playable roster at launch — and the final fighter has just been announced. I-No, the guitar-wielding rock goddess from past games, returns in Strive with a new design. She looks fantastic in her reveal trailer, which we've embedded above.
I-No joins fellow veterans Sol, Ky, Axl, Potemkin, Millia, Zato-1, Chipp, May, Faust, Ramlethal, Leo, and Anji in the initial roster. Newcomers Nagoryuki and Giovanna round things out at 15. As you'd expect, the roster will grow over time with the addition of DLC characters, but as of right now, nothing's been said about who could make the cut.
The Guilty Gear Strive open beta is still live for a couple more days, but if you haven't already downloaded it, you're out of luck. The full game will launch on the 9th April for both PS5 and PS4.

I'm actually surprised that I-No was the choice for final character. I would have expected a slightly more straightforward character (in terms of movement in particular). Still hyped for her even if I won't play her though.
Very surprised. I thought they would bring out the popular ones before her - Bridget or Dizzy for example - but she looks good!
I hope they add Jam
@Voltan Well at least this character jams.
Hi there fellow gamers.
And there we have it. The final starter character as been revealed. On to the DLC ones 😜
But man, as soon as I saw I-no I had painful flashbacks fighting her Boss form in GG X2.
Heck even fighting her normaly can be a pain.
But she looks fantastic. Great redesign.
Gonna be "fun" playing against her online.
And more time for thr beta. Awesome news.
Cheers, stay safe and happy gaming to us all
I just wish they'd give her a rockin guitar to go with her bad***ness like a flying V and not this Brian seltzer and the stray cats junk lol.
Jk I think semi hollows and stuff are really cool but just think a V would suit I No really well.
I got into the training mode briefly before being booted and played around with ramathal and think she might be my main. Have always loved her design, cant wait to try out the rest
I was half expecting that art of hers to be flipping me off. Really like the music here.
Gotta love how the design of I-No is basically Shiina Ringo.
My main. Love to have her back though I knew she was a guarantee. Very rewarding character to learn.
While Guilty Gear XX was generally the game to sell me the genre at last, I remember I-No in particular as one of my earlier introductions to the sheer versatility of voicework talent (I mean, I'd been exposed to that since childhood, but I had neither the internet nor the ability to competently scan foreign language end titles when I was 8), finding out that she was voiced by the same person as Kasumi Tendo. Kikuko Inoue is a legend and I'm glad she's back on the job here again.
The redesign itself feels more like "in-universe restyling", though, akin to Bayonetta. I tend to associate the former term with more radical changes (like the Soviet "Prostokvashino" series whose team never really buried the hatchet on a certain main character's appearance).😅
