Every so often, a game comes out of nowhere and completely blows you away. It could be a cool, little indie title that the PlayStation Blog highlights in its weekly The Drop post or a game you haven't given enough attention to in general, but either way, it's a pleasant surprise. Whiteboyz Wit Attitude: The Pursuit of Money is a perfect example of that, except it fits into neither of those two categories. In fact, it's an experience which defies genres. This is a title which does the talking for us as part of its introductory page, so we'll simply quote it. Don't worry, however, it's...incredible.
"The Whiteboyz Wit Attitude were formed in 2007 after hearing the song Crank That Soulja Boy on the radio. Convinced they could make something just as good, they put out four albums that were circulated in the Mt. Venon, Illinois music scene. WWA hopes to bring hip hop back to its roots with banging beats, epic flows, and a focus on lyricism. The group is made up of two friends who worked on a farm: Dr. White and Crushed Ice. Prior to becoming rappers, Dr. White worked as an animal doctor on the farm. Crushed Ice manned the machinery and worked as a bartender on the side. Their new album The Pursuit of Money is an epic culmination of all their best songs. Get ready to experience the most banging hip hop tracks you've ever heard."
When put into practice, this consists of two interactive music videos that couldn't be more different from one another. Wear the Purp is a rare instance which actually takes advantage of the DualShock 4 controller's motion capabilities while Mt. Venon, Illinois is an expanded version of Google's offline T-Rex Game.
In the case of the former track, you'll need to match your actions with the time of the on-screen beat to rack up a high score and try and beat Whiteboyz Wit Attitude's record. The motions consist of swinging your arms from left to right, mimicking the act of pouring a coke down your t-shirt, and performing a circular motion. We definitely felt like a cool kid in amongst the tears of laughter while performing Wear the Pup. And we didn't even beat the high score! We'll be back to better you Dr. White and Crushed Ice, that's for sure.
Meanwhile, Mt. Venon, Illinois is a 2D side-scroller more akin to the game Google Chrome has to offer when you lose internet connection than anything else. Controlling a car which can get a bit of air time at will, you need to avoid colliding with animals on the track by jumping over them and shooting boxes which get in your way. Things get slightly more complex when trucks packed with explosives come along that you need to destroy before they deal any real damage, while a quick pit-stop comes with the task of shooting matching pictures. Of course, a catchy hip hop track is being played the entire time.
We're not entirely sure how this happened, but boy are we glad it did. And the best thing about Whiteboyz Wit Attitude: The Pursuit of Money is that it's not actually charging an asking price whatsoever. Yes, this unforgettable experience is free. It doesn't exactly offer a lot of content -- two quick-fire interactive music videos and the ability to enjoy them along with a third highlight devoid of input -- but it's a half an hour of fun you won't forget about any time soon. If you're bored at any point over this bank holiday weekend, give Whiteboyz Wit Attitude: The Pursuit of Money a quick download. We promise you won't regret it.
And if you're that impressed by the artist's tracks, you can actually download a full 30-song album from the PlayStation Store for £5.49/$6.99. The listing's description says Whiteboyz Wit Attitude are the greatest rappers of all time, even. It just comes with the following pointer: "WWA was voted the greatest rappers of all time by two people on social media…. yes, they were our mothers." We're tempted to buy it. Seriously tempted.

🤣 I saw this on the PS Store and wondered what it was!
I must say, you made me curious enough to have read the article. As for downloading the game... eh, I’m not sure I can get over the cringe inducing title for long enough to actually do that. 😆 It all seems really odd.
What the actual krunk
"after hearing the song Crank That Soulja Boy on the radio. Convinced they could make something just as good"
well that already means they have no credibility, i would rather listen to the long drawn out death rattle of a man suffering from terminal flatulence
What is happening
Just added it to my library. The sheer lunacy is just outstanding from reading this. I’m curious as to how this’ll learn out.
@get2sammyb For a Min I Thought You And Liam Were Trying To Make a Rap Album Lol
David Silva and Jermaine Jenas spit wack rhymes.
Are there trophies in this thing? Seems pretty fresh regardless.
Thought the guy on the right was @get2sammyb at first
@Areus @get2sammyb I mean, I'm open to the idea.
Wtf is this lol I'm so confused
Well I’m confused and honestly, for free I’m perfectly willing to witness the new worst game of all time.
Judging by the screenshots, this feels like something you'd stumble upon scrolling through Newgrounds in 2003 at 1:30 in the morning.
This music is super trash trash.
@Cutmastavictory. But they are better than kanye west.lil wayne.drake.haha.word up son
Uhhh.. No thanks, im good. Also.... Imma head out now
@LiamCroft @get2sammyb If You do You Guys Should Call It Straight Outta Push Square.
@playstation1995 they better than eminem and that's about it. These idiots trash buckets.
@Cutmastavictory. 😄 hahaha no doubt.word up son
The next thing you know a few black guys will create a rap group called NWA to mock these dudes.
This is terrible. It's the last thing anyone needs.
@Cutmastavictory Still butthurt huh 😅
Yeah this sounds awful and it would be a waste of precious bandwidth, PlayStation should stop trying to clutter the store with garbage.
@Juanalf I'm sorry...butt hurt about what? Maybe you meant to reply to someone else.
Insania... only UK persons will get this ref
And all the girlies say, l'm pretty fly (for a white guy)
phew! for a moment I thought it was Sammy.
@Cutmastavictory eminem is bad? Probably not and i dont even like any rap since early 90's. Hard to say hes not a very good artist though.
Dont much care for this, NWA is one of the goats. Using a play on there name to get people to DL ur stuff is kinda lame.
I prefer my old school hip-hop, these two saying they want to bring back hip hop to it's roots, inspired by Soulja Boy and with their songs... it's quite obvious they're taking the michael.
Looks like they're gonna make a few bucks too, fair play.
The white boys would have to pay me money to even download it! I am not wasting space on my hard drive!
