We first wrote about Brawlout all the way back in 2016, and we noted that it looked rather fun. Fortunately, the indie fighter still looks good, and now it's down for a confirmed release on Sony's system this summer. You can get an eyeful of it via the trailer that we've embedded above.
The game will feature 18 characters who all seem suitably colourful -- but the big news here is that three guest combatants will be involved. Juan from Guacamelee! is entering the fray alongside the playable character from Hyper Light Drifter. The third and final guest character hasn't been revealed yet.
Honestly it's pretty cool seeing indie guests in an indie fighting game, and we're looking forward to giving the full release a shot.

For a smaller fighting game I think it looks good, even if it doesn't shy away from its obvious inspirations.
Makes me want a new PlayStation All Stars: Battle Royale game or a remaster as I think Sony prob has the rep, the IPs, and prob the developer brains to make a great Fighting Game Maybe w a good campaign/Story along w maybe trying to make it unique enough as well!
