There are many things that the Yakuza series brings to the table, but its penchant for fleshed out and eclectic minigames is always a joy to behold. Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will be no different, it seems; this new trailer focuses on what kind of activities you'll be able to partake in during Kiryu's downtime.
The minigames shown vary from darts and karaoke all the way up to weight lifting and what appears to be full-on baseball. You'll even be able to visit a SEGA arcade and play full titles like Super Hang-On and Virtua Fighter 5.
It looks like we're in for a treat when Yakuza 6 lands in a couple of months. We can't wait to try our hand at a spot of harpooning followed by a visit to the hostess club.

Can't wait to fight with sharks.
That's me played through both 0 and kiwami over the holidays so I'd rather wait for kiwami 2 in English and play my way through the ps3 games than jump straight to 6
Yeah, I’ll be curious to hear how critical
it is to have played the previous games. If I finish Y0 and Kiwami I just can’t see jumping over 4 games to Y6 since it appears to be one continuous story.
They always do good recaps, but understandable.
Already bought zero and kiwami special edition, will buy this too
Much better trailer for mini games than kiwami last year which showed the same mini games as zero.
Virtua fighter, puyo puyo, baby sitting, cat sitting and harpooning all looked new to me! This just jumped up a heap in my wanted list.
Heres the choice;
Fist of the North Star or Yakuza 6?
@themcnoisy Both!
Yes, this looks as awesome as always loving it!
@themcnoisy Fist of the North Star strikes me as a bit of an experiment. The combat looks fun and it'll probably be one of the best video adaptations in years and years, but the presentation's just a bit cheap in places and it looks like... A starting point, if that makes sense.
The kind of game where a sequel will make it obsolete. This often happens with game adaptations of Japanese properties — just look at all the Warriors games. First Pirate Warriors is complete crap compared to the second and especially the third. Same with Gundam.
Always find the first tries are more proof of concept with some neat ideas more than anything really substantial.
I’d love to play the space harrier game again in the sega arcade. I remember playing it with the 3D glasses on my sega master system
These minigames could be the whole game and I would still buy it lol
@ShogunRok @get2sammyb I dont have the time for both so Yakuza 6 it is!
I prefer how the minigames are more high-tech now since it's set in recent years unlike the 1988 Yakuza 0 setting where they were mostly board games and took so long to learn and get good.
Can't wait for this. As usual the side diversions look awesome.
I just want to thank @ShogunRok for recommending me to try out Yakuza 0 since I never played any before, and man, I'm having tons of fun with it, even if the game seems overwhelming with the amount of chapters.
Definitely looking forward to 6 and getting around to buy Kiwami.
@nessisonett also played Kiwami and Zero late last year, then continued with part 3, currently on yakuza 4 and hoping to finish up with 5 before the new one comes out. Don't think it's necessary to wait for Kiwami 2 to enjoy the others, but I'll definitely get it once it comes to the west.
@Deadlyblack Yakuza 0 is also the only single player game in the last 4 years which I've spent more than 50 hours on. Most games bore me after 20-30 hours but I completed Yakuza 0 in 120 hours and still wanted to play more.
Superb as usual. I really enjoyed the caberet club mini game with Goro in Yakuza 0.
@Deadlyblack Nice! Glad you're enjoying it. Seems to have been a hit with a lot of people who haven't played Yakuza before.
