Hideaki Itsuno, the director behind both the Devil May Cry series and Dragon's Dogma, is up to his old tricks again. The Japanese developer teased a secret project more than once last year, inevitably leading to speculation about Devil May Cry 5 and Dragon's Dogma 2. However, despite Itsuno's teasing, he never did get to reveal what his project was in 2017.
Of course, now that it's 2018, Itsuno's wasting no time in reminding us that he's working on something. He tweeted: "Happy new year! I am sorry that I can not present a new project last year. The development of the project is now under climax. I am making a great game so please expect it."
His words suggest that the game's now far into development -- perhaps almost finished -- so an official announcement may not be that far off. Naturally, we're still excited to hear what it is, especially since those Devil May Cry 5 rumours just won't go away.
What are you hoping for from Itsuno? Place some predictions in the comments section below.

it's definitely devil may cry 5.but give me dragons dogma 2 also.word up son
i would love it if it was Devil May Cry 5 but what does it mean by "Under Climax" does that mean the game is actually nearly done of just the planing
ore could it be a clue as to what it is because Climax isn't a word that is normally used in these kind of things
Devil May Cry trilogy remastered will be released this year, right? Who knows, probably it's a new Devil May Cry.
Something new would be cool, but definitely wouldn't say no to Devil May Cry 5 either!
