With The Tower blown to bits at the start of Destiny 2, the Guardians and all of their little mates are forced to start over somewhere new. That somewhere is The Farm, the sequel's key social space that'll act as your main hub area.
IGN's managed to sneak a peek at the location in a new video that we've embedded above. A far cry from the high walls of The Tower, The Farm is a very open area by comparison, and, as you'd expect of Bungie, the space is surrounded by some spectacular views.
The developer states that The Farm is actually a dynamic location that'll change as you progress through the game. Hopefully the Cabal don't burn this place to the ground as well, eh?

How can it change as you progress when presumably there'll be other players occupying it? (I didn't watch the video.)
@get2sammyb I watched but didn't listen lol I assume they probably mean through different seasons and public events or they'll just use the matchmaking tool to lump you with other guardians at the same stage...

@get2sammyb Could be player-specific instances, something MMOs use a lot. Some players might see the location differently depending on their progress. Backdrop might get blown up or something like that in the story and if you've got that far it'll be a smouldering ruin. For everyone else it'll still be there.
