It would seem that Japan has taken to the recently released PS4 Pro rather well, as sales of Sony's system saw a significant boost last week. PlayStation 4 numbers rocketed by around 60,000 units, hitting a total of 92,344 sales, which is a very similar increase to the jump that we saw when the PS4 Slim arrived on store shelves several weeks ago. We're sure that Sony will be happy that its supercharged console appears to have found an audience in the East, and it'll be interesting to see if this momentum can be sustained.
There was more good news for the company on the software side of things, too. PlayStation titles once again dominated the top 20, with new release Fate/Extella: Umbral Star slicing straight to the top of the charts. The Dynasty Warriors-esque action game sold through 73,019 copies on Vita, and 67,356 copies on PS4. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition also made a splash on the current-gen machine, flying into fourth place.

Wow. Classic NES building up on that nostalgia factor. Good thinking Nintendo!
Yeah, the Classic NES is going to be a very hot holiday item. It's got a good price and coming out at the perfect time.
Good jump in sales there and despite all the negative media and fanboy bashing the PRO is selling well can't wait to see NPD results even with Xbox virtually giving the console away. I predict a big win for Sony, nice to see the baby Nintendo doing well also. Switch will be massive in Japan they don't really care about power there. Xbox yet again pathetic numbers but no one mentions that in the media.
@Splat Just need more stock for Christmas. But yh huge nostalgia feeling will guarantee huge sales.
lol the famicom doesn't count, how daft.
If they make a snes mini times that launch figure by 10.
FYI Famicom sold out in Japan in 1 hour, it probably would have sold 5x that if it had the stock.

Sold out in most of the US in seconds as most stores only got 5 or 6.

So, 3DS and New 3DS are listed separately, but PS4, Slim and Pro are combined? I'm OK with the original and Slim being combined, Slim is more of a replacement, but Pro is $100 more, it's own thing. It should be listed separately. And besides, doesn't everybody want to see head-to-head Pro power vs Slim price? It's the battle of the ages, scientific experiment in real life progress, don't deny us that.
I had a preorder on the Nes but canceled it a day before release. Nice item to have but I realised I didn't really care for most of the games. If Sega do a Mastersystem/Mega Drive I would go for that.
Wonder if Sony could release a PlayStation Mini? No, not the PSone. Just a mini console that had Wipeout, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy 7, Tomb Raider, Crash, Jumping Flash, and a bunch of other PS1 classics. Most PS1 games weren't very big, so those would easily fit in a 16 GB internal storage.
It's nice that japan gamers still buy home console, ps4 pro number is nice.
@Mahe Nice idea, althought I think it's better to sold it on ps4 with upgraded graphics like ps2 games on ps4.
I am surprised the Pro performed this well in Japan tbh
give me snes man snes
SNES classic is going to happen.
@Gamer83 and it's going to be mine ohohohoho!
