We love a good licensed soundtrack in our games. Sometimes, a fitting selection of tunes can really solidify the feel of a release - the inclusion of Stan Bush's The Touch in Saints Row IV was inspired, for example - and with Mafia III, we've been hoping and praying for a stellar sixties soundtrack that really cements the title's atmosphere.
Fortunately, it looks like we've got one. The full track listing has turned up on Rolling Stone, and at first glance, it looks like one heck of a good time. You can expect to hear the Rolling Stones, James Brown, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Canned Heat, Cream, Jefferson Airplane, Beach Boys, Johnny Cash, Steppenwolf, Otis Redding, The Band, Little Richard, the Supremes, and even a bit of Elvis. Over 100 songs will be included in the finished game, which is pretty darn impressive - even if Jimi Hendrix is sadly missing in action.

This is great because it introduces classics to a younger generation.
I really can't wait for this.
Canned heat it has to be the tune on the road again or could they play Amphetamine Annie. "Speed kills" I hope this is good game imma buy it soon as its out
I like a good sound track to a game but this would have to be considerably better than Mafia 2 which was basically a driving sim with the odd bit of shooting.

@Bhattiboy On The Road again is confirmed.
Soundtracks looks alright. Though being a big fan of a lot of sixties music I hoped for a bit more obscure tracks too.
Most interesting inclusion to me is the inclusion of Ramones' cover of Palisades Park, whichwas recorded in 1989.
Extremely burned out of licensed soundtracks, especially of "overplayed" artists. I guess it fits the setting and tone, though.
This could be as good for the game as the 80's soundtrack was for GTA Vice City. I'm looking forward to this.
I don't know, its hard to beat having a super powered alien showdown with "I don't want to miss a thing" playing.
It's just a shame that the game itself is looking a little mediocre.
@Kidfried That's a good spot, seems there are a few covers on the track listing as well as the originals. Could be that the remixes play during certain parts of the story and not via radio? That's the only reason I can think of.
@ShogunRok Probably! And some songs for during the credts, maybe a small preview to a Mafia 4 set in the 80's? That would be really cool too. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.
@MarcelRguez Yea, that's my only criticism too, even though I like most of those songs a lot.
@Kidfried Great thanks 60s Music is good check out this French classic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWRCJhsz5t4
Wow. That is a killer soundtrack I keep trying to ignore this game because there is too much to play this year but its shaping up rather nicely.
High hopes for this one
I was born on a bayou and often sat on the dock of the bay. My life then was honky tonk women after i found that Marie was just the devil in disquise. Her little sister, Annie, was just as bad and ran off with the son of a preacher that killed the gator that got her granny.
One day i decided to go on the road again. After some traveling i came upon a green river and met some nice river folks. I then took a job on a river boat named Mary.
Everyday on that riverboat i could honestly say " whoa! i feel good". I wish my dad could visit sometimes, but he's locked in Folsom for shooting a man in Reno.
Wait, this game is set in the 60's? I've been sorely ignoring it, but now they have my attention.
Wow, it'll be worth buying the game just for this!
The more I see of this game, the more interested I am. Never played a Mafia title before but I think I'm going to have to get involved this time. Also, with a 60's based story the inclusion of Creedance had to be a given.
Each time I see the game it looks better and better and this soundtrack is pretty class, can't wait to play it.
