Injustice Gods Among Us PS4 PlayStation 4 1

We try not to run unsourced stories here at Push Square, but this one's more obvious than the Box Office eventually milking every comic book character dry: Injustice 2 is in development and is about to be announced. The rumour comes courtesy of a French site's "inside sources" – but let's be realistic, it's obviously happening.

The site claims that the NetherRealm developed superhero sequel will release in May 2017, two years after the vanilla version of Mortal Kombat X. With the Wonder Woman and Justice League movies [Sigh – Ed] both due out in 2017, it stands to reason that Warner Bros will want a quality game on store shelves as well.

And, to be fair, the original was pretty darn good. Despite having the worst title since Rosco McQueen Firefighter Extreme, we found the DC Comics clash-up to be extremely entertaining – particularly the ostentatious super moves, which took the term "OTT" to the next level. We fully expect this one to put in an appearance at E3 next month.
