Star Wars Battlefront has become the fastest selling Star Wars title of all time in the UK, beating previous record holder The Force Unleashed by 117 per cent. The game sold almost 60 per cent of its copies on the PlayStation 4, meaning that Sony's system beat the Xbox One and PC's combined tally by some margin. It's worth remembering that the Japanese giant had exclusive bundles for the title, however.
Still, so successful was Star Wars Battlefront on the PS4 that it enjoyed a larger first week than all other non-sequel releases on the machine, meaning that it bettered the launch totals of Destiny and Watch Dogs. Elsewhere, Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Fallout 4 filled out the top three spots, while FIFA 16 secured a Champion's League place in fourth. Credit where credit's due: Rise of the Tomb Raider hung on in fifth.
But there's not a whole lot else to say about the charts this week to be honest, and with some quiet time before Just Cause 3 and Rainbow Six: Siege next month, we're expecting things to hold steady for a little while. Is there anything that you're looking for in a sale on Black Friday? Do you intend to purchase any games for gifts over the coming weeks? Let us know down below.

Sure the raw numbers aren't great but considering most people expected (more like were rooting for) Rise of the Tomb Raider to completely fall off the charts, not a bad performance.
Star Wars did what was expected. It should be the best selling game through the rest of the year unless Call of Duty Black Ops 3 ends up being more popular than it seems like it will be.
@Gamer83 I don't think anyone wanted it to fail, I just think people were unhappy with how Square Enix is treating the franchise - and I include myself in that.
At the end of the day, while the chart position is good, the actual numbers are still poor. I have no idea how true this is, but NeoGAF number crunchers put the LTD sales at less than 90k in its two weeks on sale. Its predecessor had done 230k by this point. That's a gigantic decline!
Uk has an amazing taste for bad games. Impressive as always.
And before the "mememe it's just your opinion", yes, it's my opinion as I can only speak for myself.
@Frank90 What do you think should be top of the charts?
@get2sammyb Fallout 4 is the best game from the list, but it's not about the position. It's about the sales, Battlefront is one of the weakest Star Wars games ever, above Force Unleashed 2 (which is pathetic), with an absurd season pass, and it's the fastest selling Star Wars game! What the hell!
FIFA 16 in 4th - Its my favourite footy game since pro evo 4 on the ps2. Its been given an average score by most - but the gameplay has been changed so much and the passing has been altered so it makes for a more realistic game of footy. I understand the hate - I laughed at it too . But this years edition is a great game.
@Frank90 I think it makes sense in context. It's a heavily marketed, high-profile Star Wars game in the year that Star Wars is making its big comeback.
Again its not surprising that Star Wars:BF sold a lot more on PS4 due to the significant difference in console sales and ownership. SW:BF is also associated with PS too. Whether I opt to buy DLC or not, because of the partnership with Sony, I opted to by this for PS4 myself. Having played it though, I can see the sales and therefore position dropping quickly.
As I have stated, I will never agree or understand the decision to make Tomb Raider a timed exclusive for Xbox. That being said, its certainly in my top 3 games of the year - only didn't vote for it in the forums because this is a PS GOTY. I know that a number of friends that have bought it also think its one of the best games of the year too so its not surrising its still up there and the highest placed 'exclusive' - although I expect some of that is also down to the fact it is also on XB360. The only games above it are multi-platform games that are likely to be above it anyway after a week or two - even if it had released on PS4! The originl reboot didn't hang around the charts that long and took nearly a year too be profitable - although the definitive edition and quite a few accolades helped it shift a lot more copies.
I'm hearing a lot of people say how good the new Tomb Raider is. Almost considered getting an Xbox but I can wait a year.
According to ign, the split between sales of SW:BF was 59% on PS4, 39% on XB1 and 2% on PC- I wonder how that translates to percentages of gamers on each system that owns it? With th higher number of PS consoles sold, does that mean that more, less or equal percentage of gamers on PS4 bought it compared to XB1.
Just shows you how strong the PS4 install base is now with those numbers. Tomb Raider holds steady only because most people are buying Fallout 4, Battlefront and CoD. Plus a 37% drop in sales doesn't sound great for it's long term prospects but we knew this from the start.
@kyleforrester87
It really is good, both graphically/ technically as gameplay wise. They really raised the bar for Naughty Dog which in itself is a feat. But buying a One just for this? Nah, better wait a year and get the GOTY edition. But if you're interested in more One titles I'd say go for it! Just this morning there was a 1tb One with Fallout 4 and FO3 for just €299 on the German Amazon.... Crazy times!!
@Boerewors There isn't a great deal on Xbox that interests me but I'd like to get up to date on Halo and Below looks interesting. But no, not for now I think.
@kyleforrester87
Those are the type of games that never get old; buy a One in 3 years with all exclusives you like and just binge away for 4 weeks straight.
@Boerewors Sounds like a plan!
Nice list sound's about right, MP game's will alway's outsell SP game's.
