As always, CD Projekt Red community coordinator Marcin Momot has delivered some juicy info regarding what's next for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. If you didn't know already, the game's final slice of downloadable content will be a new game plus mode, so that you can restart the title with some bonuses from your previous run - but what will you be able to carry over exactly?
According to Momot, Geralt's level is the first thing that'll make the jump. If you're above level 30, you'll begin the game at that level, and if you're below, you'll start out at level 30. What's more, you can select any difficulty setting when starting a new save on new game plus mode. This means that you can crank it up if you're looking for more of a challenge.
As for Geralt's inventory, your items will carry over - we assume this includes all of your gear, including created potions - but you obviously won't be able to keep your quest items. Books and letters won't carry over, either, and neither will your monster trophies. Sadly, your collected gwent cards also won't transfer. You will keep your pocketed money, however.
What's more, upon starting a new save on new game plus, you'll be granted a free clearing potion so that you can redistribute your skill points if you wish.
Sound good to you? Begin the hunt all over again in the comments section below.

Sounds just about right! Bit disappointed about my poor gwent cards, though.
Yeah, sucks about the cards but other then that sounds great...
More? I haven't even finished the game yet and there's all these new games coming out in September! I'm gonna have to hunker down and finish it off
@Splat I guess it would kind of ruin the point of the gwent quests and the minigame in general if you could keep all your best cards, so I can see the logic behind it, even if it's still a bit sad!
When will this be out?
Still so many questions, though! Will enemies scale on new game +? Will I just receive no exp throughout the game because I'm extremely overleveled compared to 95% of the game? Will the place of power points be reset, will they not give new points, or will it all accumulate?
Haha sorry guys.
@NomNom Developer's said not this week, so I'd imagine it'll be next week at some point.
@ztpayne7 From what I gather, enemies in New Game Plus will become tougher, so they may scale up, with level 30 being the lowest, for example. Guess we'll have to wait and see how it all turns out.
Sounds great! Wasn't too keen on Gwent on the first play through so I'll be sure to spend some time on it when I start again. Damn, this game just keeps on giving.
Can't wait for the dlc! Can't wait even more for the bugs to be fixed so I can finish the game for the first time ..
@Vettechy77 I've played about 10 hours so far with the latest patch installed since purchasing the game on Friday, and I've not seen any issues with bugs yet. Surprised your having issues significant enough to stop you finishing the game?
@SteveButler2210 I've put about 30 hours in (loving it). At a point where I need to talk to a main character to continue the storyline but no option appears to enable this to happen. Seems a fairly common problem according to some threads I was reading. CDPR are aware of it and looking into it. I hope that means patch 1.08 will be out soon with it sorted 👍
I need my Gwent cards!!!
