Well, we've been sat here for almost a decade waiting for Final Fantasy XV. With the game's playable demo launching next month alongside Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, we're actually starting to get a decent look at what the role-playing title will consist of, and the good news doesn't stop there.

Speaking to IGN, game director Hajime Tabata, who took over from previous head honcho Tetsuya Nomura, reckons that the end of the development period is finally in sight. "Because of the way development works, now we've seen a solid milestone, and using that it means the end is in sight in some ways," he said. This comes after Tabata stated that the game's around 60 per cent complete.

While this suggests that the release is still a ways off yet, it's the first time that we've heard mention of a finished product, which, in all honesty, is absolutely crazy. "There may be times where we move on with massive leaps and bounds, so the overall number shoots up by 10 percent at a time," Tabata continues, adding: "I think we're looking at a much faster development in the near future." If that's not a relatively good sign, we don't know what is.
