We've heard fans voice their complaints on the forums that there aren't enough real time strategy games on the PlayStation 4, and it seems Koei Tecmo was thinking the same thing with the announcement of Bladestorm: The Hundred Year War and Nightmare. Coming before the end of 2014 in Japan, it's the sequel to the franchise that started way back in 2007 on the PlayStation 3.
The trailer showcased below depicts just some of the gameplay that will be available as armies clash on the battlefield. From using archer squads to shoot down infantry from afar, to ordering cavalry to obliterate your foes, this semi-realistic depiction of medieval warfare is a breath of fresh air. All right, so maybe the huge fire breathing dragon isn't that realistic, but everything is better with dragons, right?
We're crossing our fingers Koei Tecmo continue their fantastic localization spree to bring this title overseas, but is this the RTS title that you were hoping for? Leave your orders in the comments section below.

SCEJA: Please Buy PS4! PLEASE!
This looks pretty nice, I'd definitely buy it. I love a proper strategy game.
Interesting...I never thought Bladestorm would get any more installments. This is a pleasant surprise.
Vaguely reminds me of the Total War battles, and I am 200% for that on console!
I always thought from what a friend told me that Bladestorm was pretty much a Warriors clone. But from the description here, sounds like it's actually more like the Kessen games on PS2? If so I'm a little more interested, as I have fond memories of those games!
A sequel rather than a next gen re release of the PS3 original? What a novel idea I love strategy games, only reason I ever gamed on a PC...I'm interested.
@SteveButler2210 Your right. I played Bladestorm when it launched a few years back on Ps3 and if anything, it played pretty much like Kessen 3 did on Ps2.
PLEASEEEE PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE YEESSS I NEED THIS
@Punkinhead145 oh god, if it s even half good as total war it will be mine at day one...
