While it’s always been enjoyable on the PlayStation 3, there’s no doubt that the LittleBigPlanet franchise could have profited from a smoother framerate. Fortunately, senior producer Daimion Pinnock has confirmed in an interview with Gaming Bolt that developer Sumo Digital is aiming to get sequel LittleBigPlanet 3 running at 60 frames-per-second in 1080p on the PlayStation 4.
The important employee stopped short of sharing any additional information, but he did add that the impending follow-up will maintain the spirit of previous entries – even if creator Media Molecule isn’t at the helm. “LittleBigPlanet’s DNA is something that has been available since the PS3, and ultimately the team has looked to take it to the next level while still being faithful to what people know,” he said.
This time around, protagonist Sackboy will be accompanied by some brand new burlap buddies: Toggle, Swoop, and Oddsock. “[These characters] have added a whole new level of gameplay to the levels and to the story,” he concluded. Each hero will have unique abilities, really furthering the co-op dynamic which has been at the heart of the property since its inception over six years ago. We can't wait.

It is a PS3 game so I wouldn't expect anything else.
So, besides nicer graphics, what will the PS4 version of LBP3 offer over the PS3 version? People will say, I've already got the console(PS3), and the PS3 controllers are cheaper(support 4player multi). Why should I buy the PS4 version? 1080p? That isn't enough.
Is the PS3 version being handled by Sumo too?
Are they going to use the PS4 camera? I forget the details of what they've told us about the PS4 version.
@Sammy Barker UPDATE on gamingbolt.com . 30 FPS confirmed. Actually, we all knew it was going to be 30 FPS
Why do both the PS3 and PS4 need to run at either 30 or 60, arent they on completely different hardware for a reason? Unless there will be cross platform online multiplayer, has that been mentioned?
I am glad to see the PS3 version confirmed, LBP makes a nice Christmas gift.
@rjejr All the user created levels from LBP1 & LBP2 will carry over to LBP3. And LBP1 & LBP2 are 30 fps, so it's for compatibility reasons.
Still doesn't matter to me, I can't wait to get this game.
