Vlambeer’s awesome 8-bit dogfight-‘em-up Luftrausers is set to soar onto the PlayStation 3 and Vita soon, publisher Devolver Digital has confirmed. The indie outfit is targeting a simultaneous release across five platforms, with the two abovementioned Sony systems set to join the pixelated party. A hard date should be with us in the coming weeks.
The title itself will see you selecting from an enormous armoury of weapons and taking down fighter planes, battleships, submarines, and rival aces in glorious two-dimensions. Alright, so it may look like a cheap and cheerful smartphone escapade, but this aerial outing has one major advantage over its unpricey peers: it actually controls well.

I'm a really big Vlambeer fan, so i'm getting pretty keen to play this. Also, it's on Vita, so I MUST own it.
Yeaah, more iphone games... Sorry but after 4/5 memory cards i just want retail quality titles. I have had enough of the indie flood. Luckily there are companies like tecmo koei, Atlus, Xseed, Nihon Falcom and aksys game who localize awesome stuff like toukiden or conception <3
@Sanquine I think there's a good balance of both types of games at the moment, to be honest. Vita is having an incredible start to 2014 in my opinion.
@get2sammyb Well, i also think that the Vita has an amazing start ( Toukiden, Dangonronpa, Mind zero etc) But i think Sony need to show some new IP"s. I know the vita sales are nothing to brag about but if every owner is as dedicated as i am ( 30 + Titles) i think there is profit to be made.
