Naughty Dog Just Received 120 PS4 Development Kits

Posted by Sammy Barker

You should probably be hyped

Naughty Dog definitely isn’t sitting around twiddling its thumbs. Company co-president Christophe Balestra published a picture of a big pile of boxes on his Twitter page overnight. What’s inside them? Oh, just 120 brand new PlayStation 4 development kits. We’re going to assume that the company’s not merely going to use them for show.

During the platform holder's GamesCom press conference last month, Sony Worldwide Studios executive Michael Denny confirmed that the North American developer’s already hard at work on the next generation console. We reckon that Uncharted 4 will be announced for the system imminently – and we wouldn’t be surprised if The Last of Us was re-released on the impending machine at some point, too.

What would you like to see Naughty Dog produce for the PS4? Let us know in the comments section below.

Been playing Precursor Legacy recently via PS+. To be honest I wouldn't mind a new entry in the Jak & Daxter series but I doubt we are ever going to get a new one. Wouldn't mind seeing what new IP they are cooking up for this new gen thats almost upon us.

Y'see it's so hard to say what i would like. I would LOVE a new Jak, I would love a new Uncharted, and a new I.P would be fantastic as well, I DO NOT want a new Last of Us, PLEASE NAUGHTY DOG, it ended perfectly

Yes it did. But different characters, same world, why not?
I doubt though that any other story of some different protagonists could grip me as much as the fate of Ellie and Joel did.

I'm convinced they are working on Uncharted 4. Just waiting to be able to put a pre-order down.

Could be anything. I want something new, too. Jak & Daxter was a rare gem in its era, but they've already nailed that coffin by adding guns etc. Uncharted suffers from an even worse fate by being mechanically stagnant. I'd hate a listless rehash, but they're good at making up new ideas that are actually fun (at least the first 50 times) so I'm not worried, but excited.
