Super Motherload

XGen Studios’ couch co-op digging simulator Super Motherload is set to burrow onto the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 later this year. The title takes place in an alternate Cold War setting, and is the sequel to a 2004 Flash game. It boasts full voice acting, procedurally generated levels, and more.

“We’re excited about the PS4 system and what this next generation console can offer to Super Motherload players,” said company founder Skye Boyes. “In addition to the ample feature set and gameplay planned for the PS3, we’re leveraging some very interesting new capabilities of the PS4.”

The studio added that working with Sony has “been overwhelmingly positive”, which pretty much echoes the sentiment of virtually every other indie developer at the moment. We’re sure that we’ll be learning more about this title shortly.
