Dead Island creator Techland is lacing up with a brand new PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 parkour adventure. Announced earlier today alongside the CG trailer embedded below, Dying Light is a first-person title set in an infected world. However, in this post-pandemic outing, there appears to be a high-speed twist.
While the Polish studio’s keeping schtum for the time being, we definitely got some Mirror’s Edge vibes from the video – which may prove handy if DICE’s sequel gets tangled up in an exclusivity arrangement. “Free running from here to there is only a part of the challenge,” explained brand manager Blazej Krakowiak on the PlayStation Blog. “The real test is trying to stay alive through the night, when the infected become more active and even more deadly.”
We’ll get our first proper look at the game at E3 next week. Is this something that you’re interested in, or are you done with zombies at this point? Let us know in the comments section below.

I thought Nathan Drake was wearing Cole MacGrath's clothes until that wrench "lit-up" and then I realized it was Cole MacGrath. "The Last inFamous". (If the joke is lost on anybody say it faster. Or slower.)
I haven't played Mirror's Edge so that analogy is lost in me. "Raging Phoenix" is a pretty good foreign parkour style movie though.
So both "Daylight" and "Dying Light" were unveiled today?
I lived mirrors edge by far the most original and vibrant game I have played
