6. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade - PS5
1. Mass Effect 2 - PS3
There have been games that have gotten close to this games finale but none have yet matched it. World building + Cast of characters really drive this home. Mordin for the win.
2. Fallout New Vegas - PS3
3. Shadow of the Colossus - PS2
When you think about it- thematically this game did everything Last of Us did years earlier! Also Colossus boss battles!
4. Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater - PS2
Snake! Snake! Snaaaakkkeeeeee!!!!!
5. Persona 4 Golden - Ps Vita
Played this games and 3 around the time I was leaving school so it hit a bit harder than usual bless!
6. Gravity Rush - Ps Vita
I don't see this one winning but I'll show support!
@Jill_Sandwich I really want to reply to so many people, and I can't, because I would be busy all evening. I need to give a shoutout to you at least, though.
You were the first to nomninate Castlevania, Super Mario RPG and Mega Man 2. That in itself is special, after over 250 nominations already (yes, it's crazy!). But also because these are all games I thought about nominating, because they're extreme classics. Thanks!
1. Rocket League (pc)
2. AstroBot rescue Mission (PSVR)
3. The legend of Zelda - A Link Between Worlds (3DS)
4. Gran Turismo 7 (PS5)
5. Half Life 2 (PC)
6. Metroid: Zero Mission (GBA)
1. The Legend of Zelda Breath of the wild - Switch
2. Portal 2 - Xbox 360
3. Spider-Man Remastered - PS5
4. Super Mario Odyssey - Switch
5. Super Mario Galaxy - Wii
6. Planet Coaster Console edition - PS5
Elden Ring - PS5: Obviously possible there's some bias based on how recent the game is, but I have a hard time coming up with a game that grabbed my imagination that strongly
Bloodborne - PS4: Maybe the best atmosphere ever created in a game. Also the game that taught me to appreciate the Souls formula.
Bioshock - PS3: Very simple - best game ever made. (P.S. where's the goddam PSVR2 port!!!!)
Final Fantasy VI - SNES: The pinnacle of classic turn-based JRPG. No other game has ever been able to further refine the mechanics.
The Legend of Zelda - NES: Played this on release when I was 9 years old. Nothing had ever been created with this level of ambition and sense of adventure. Still holds up pretty well too.
Adventure - Atari 2600: Arguably the very first procedurally generated game. You just never knew where that f-ing red dragon was going to be. Also the first in-game easter egg!
1. Suikoden 1 - ps1
2. Legend of zelda: link to the past - snes
3. World of warcraft - pc
4. Legend of heroes trails of cold steel 1 - ps4
5. Suikoden 5 - ps2
6. Ace combat 4 - ps2
I'll list my top 5!
5. Transformers Fall Of Cybertron
4. Uncharted 4: A Thiefs End
3. God Of War (2018)
2. God Of War Ragnarok
1. Marvel's Spider-Man
Honorable mentions: Horizon Forbidden West/Zero Dawn, Spider-Man Miles Morales, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor, Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2, and Ratchet And Clank Rift Apart!
I'm probably forgetting some but that's my list!
@somnambulance If I thought it would qualify, I think I might also include P.T. - that was some brilliant *****. And one of the biggest let downs in all of game dev history.
Final Fantasy VII - PS1
Half Life 2 - PC
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Switch
Limbo - PS3
Uncharted 3 - PS3 (yep, I slightly prefer it to the second game)
Vandal Hearts - PS1
All games I've played countless times and will definitely play again. Choosing 6 was tough; on another day I may have put Mass Effect 2, Final Fantasy X, The Last of Us, Fez, Gran Turismo 4 or SSX Tricky in there, to name a few.
@Shizzlebob19 I think PT is complete as is. There’s no other game I’ve deep dived as much as that one. Is it a shame Silent Hills never released? Yes. But as it stands, it is the finest game that was ever free to play.
