We wanted to let you know that our teams have been working hard over the past few weeks to prepare your order for you.
Due to the volume of PlayStation 5’s in the UK market and the size of the product, the launch has led to UK wide delivery challenges for all Retailers and Couriers. Our aim has always been to ensure that as many orders arrive on time for release day as possible therefore, we have had to secure multiple couriers to help try to achieve this.
However, for reasons beyond the control of GAME, YODEL have informed us today (18th November) that not all orders due to be delivered by them will be delivered on release day. This is due to capacity issues in their delivery network and may mean that your tracking information is not fully updated until Friday.
You will receive tracking information later today to the email address that you placed your order with and can click through the link to see the status of your order. Please continue to check your email Inbox and Junk/Spam folders for delivery updates directly from YODEL.
We would like to apologise for any disappointment that this may cause you but we can assure you that your console is packed and ready to be delivered by one of our couriers.

Just got the same email.
I paid £12 for DPD pre-12pm.
That was the contract I took out with GAME.
If YODEL, don't deliver before 12pm tomorrow I will put in a complaint for compensation.
I was in the first wave of orders, not the week after.
GAME should have got the logistics of the first batch sorted before releasing more in the second wave.
@Skywalker1080p same here dude i was also in the first wave of pre-orders and its just becoming a joke imo
"However, for reasons beyond the control of GAME, YODEL have informed us today (18th November) that not all orders due to be delivered by them will be delivered on release day"
is UTTER BS! why did GAME move me to YODEL if they cant bloody handle it!
edit: i received demons souls and godfall by DPD last week so its not like they dont have access to DPD.
Ordered from Argos and just got a DPD notification that I was receiving a package from Centresoft tomorrow. Never heard of them before but I guess Argos are using them to source and distribute the PS5. As long as it arrives I'll be happy.
I ordered from Shopto, who also ship using DPD, and have received the exact same notification from DPD that it's coming from centresoft.
Yodel are probably the largest courier service for parcels in the UK in terms of volume, but if GAME can tell me they dispatched mine at 2am and Royal Mail are able to get it to my local delivery office in Devon!! By 13:00, the capacity excuse smells a bit like Yodel covering their own backs in case they cannot deliver it tomorrow, and cut down on potential complaints overloading their systems and multiple bad reviews on certain websites.
Strangely, out of everyone I know who's ordered from a PS5 from GAME I appear to be the only one getting it from RM, I havent heard of any deliveries from DHL who they are also apparently using.
I hope you all do get it delivered tomorrow, the system certainly should have been more robust to make sure it happened promptly.
I got the same email from GAME regarding Yodel. Fingers crossed for everyone. I just recieved a text from GAME saying it is with the carrier. So I am a bit more optimistic than I was about an hour go.
Brothers and sisters...
What a ***** show this has turned into.
The wording of the Yodel email has a lot of may this and may that.
As someone said, they are covering backs for inevitable complaints. Which will still come regardless of a last minute email excuse.
Am I surprised? Not at all.
Disappointed? Certainly.
So we will all sit n wait.
Good luck to you all.
If anyone gets it no agro tomorrow I raise a glass to you.
And commiserations to any that don't.
Do I want mine tomorrow? You bet.
But if it's Friday or even Saturday, ah well, worse things at sea and all that caper.......
TBH i dont mind waiting an extra day but its the fact its YODEL where u have a 30% chance of it arriving fine and 70% chance of it damaged :/ they r just so untrustworthy
Email from Game.co.uk....

Finally got a tracking number from Amazon, it's being delivered by Amazon Logistics. Which in my experience means it can turn up at any time from 7am to 10pm within the next two days. Quite likely when I'm out dropping the kids at school.
@JohnnyShoulder no date yet, but I did get a 50 euro voucher to make up for it. So I guess it's going to be more than a day.
Probably a "we got less than we had hoped for" which I'm seeing all across Europe.
The two biggest webshops from my country have come out to say that, yes, they expected way more. So many people have probably already been disappointed...
@Haruki_NLI oddly enough ive been spammed with money off discounts for ps5 and ps4 games which makes me think they know they have ballsed things up and the chance of getting my ps5 on launch quite slim
